sometimes you're just in a sort of mental zone that allows you to get much better scores than you normally can. if he was doing well he may have hit that point, or a sort of "i'm going to force myself to do this" feeling.

also it's possible that if it wasn't witnessed by anyone that he is lying, haha

No, I was with him. It was intense. I've had that mentallity myself, pulled The Beginning out of my ass after 6 hours of playing 10's. Then shortly after Vertex^2 Hard.

well, i personally find a lot of the 12s and 13s to be complete bullshit

it really just takes a lot of practice and a desire to want to pass them. i don't really care much about itg so i don't have the desire to push myself hard enough to do better.

I would say that once you get past the 11 mark, songs are just hard for the sake of being hard. Seriously.

But I agree with the assertion thusfar that there are very few people who can actually pass 13s. It's just too physically taxing, too hard to read, and too intense to complete those songs. You have to be like, a freaking athlete who happens to have an aptitude for music.

Quoted for so much truth. After doing bang, I don't even want to ever attempt it again. It's not that it was really hard per say (I can't pass a lot of 11s and I passed bang) but it has to many area's that it would be just retarded to try to score "well" on. I'd say the same thing with Delirium, I've seen someone finish that song with 80+% only to fail it the next time because he read part of the run/stream wrong.

Some of them honestly seem that way, like Bloodrush (could have been fine without crossovers) and Vertex^2 (Yeah) but some of them are fine when it all goes to the song (Delirium, Summer I think)

But then again, I can only pass easy 10s, which I actually think is really good despite what the pros think, haha

i actually don't mind that middle part of bloodrush

i hate the part after it with the freezes and the 8th notes you have to hit with one foot, haha

Someone mentioned earlier in a thread that their friend passed a 13 on a fluke. What do you mean by that? Did he bullshit certain parts or what?

I agree with the fact that if you're determined and push yourself to do well, you can do better or pass more songs. I can't do most of the 11's and 12's but when I put my mind to it and if I'm not fatigued, I'll do well. For instance, I can pass Bloodrush because I was dead set on passing it for the longest time yet Infection gives me more trouble and that's an 11. I've passed it before and am not as determined to pass it anymore.

Agree completely.

When I played on Stepmania I thought that was the easiest part of the song and when I actually tried it on foot it turned out to be the hardest (or, most annoying).

Well, I feel the entire song was bullshitted, he can BARELY pass 10's. And then just says to me, hey, I'm gonna go pass Summer. He goes up, and passes it! Out of nowhere! Hasn't been able to do it since either. He got like a 66% too.
