Default I heard that the Boxors can't stand the abuse.

When I went to the arcade last weekend, I was shocked to hear that the Boxor on the ITG2 dedicab is now reported broken, due to a massive power surge by a thunderstorm. Even if it boots right, it freezes the whole game causing major issues. I told the people about why it's difficult to replace ITG2 machines (no thanks to damn Konami!), even if you just wanted to replace the Boxor. Does anyone have that kind of problem too? You know, the power surge problem?

boxors are just normal computers with normal computer parts

i've replaced the ram in a local machine here and it worked just fine, after experiencing a similar problem (not power surge but the game was freezing a lot)

My arcade's so uptight about surge's that the staff are told to close the arcade and unplug everything during storms the second they hear thunder.
Probably a bad past experience.

I hope the owner of the arcade has learned their lessons - Boxors can be sensitive to the power surges, and I think they are also hard to replace these days.
