If Konami has acquired ITG, shouldn't this forum be obsolete?

I'm just asking this because Konami has chose not to do anything to this series, instead they decided to seal the fate of this series. Why hasn't this forum gone to the graveyard, then? I'm just wondering why.

You may be right here, but I still can't understand why wouldn't Konami do anything to the arcade community of stripping all those ITG machines if they acquired the rights to the series. Either that, or censore all those ITG YouTube videos like they did with some beatmania IIDX videos. I just better hope the company didn't hear what I said, lest I get a lawsuit.

Konami can't force previously existing machines to stop existing. They can't make arcade operators turn them off or destroy them. They simply own the intellectual rights, which would prevent roxor from ever releasing an ITG3

Which does suck a bit. I had hoped ITG would force Konami to innovate some more (instead of just release a long overdue sequel).

They released conversion kits a while back to convert Dedicabs to Supernova. Oh and as for Konami blocking the release of ITG3, I'm not sure if you've seen the released images from DDRX, but Less Than Three is on it, with the original ITG3 banner.

1) no they didn't

2) so? ITG licensed plenty of stuff that had been in ddr (bumble bee, typical tropical, sunshine, temple of love)

I don't think ITG3 would've used banner images that are comparable in dimensions to small wallpapers.

EDIT: Also it's Universe 3, not X.
