Unhappy Little issues with ITG PC

I got the ITG PC demo. I will maybe get the full game at christmas.

I play this game on a laptop. I found a way to plug my laptop on TV (S-Video) to display my game. I can plug a PS2 Controller to USB converter on this laptop and play with a mat.

But I got 2 issues about this.

1. The sounds won't go out from my TV speakers, but from my laptop speakers. I want to find a way to make the sound going out from my TV. What equipement and/or what should I do to do correct this?
2. The picture is too stretched on the top and the left. I cannot see the life bar. I can only see the half of the song progress bar. My laptop's screen's resolution is 1440x900. But I go in the game options and I change the resolution to 640x480 (because it's a TV). Is there a way to correct that?

And, there are my laptop's system informations :

Pentium 4 processor (3,2 Ghz)
2 GB of RAM
nVidia GeForce FX Graphic Card wih 64Mb of Ram (non-removable ).

Can you help me please? I don't I really want to play this game on a TV.

Thank you.

(if you see some mistakes in English, it's because i'm almost perfect in english. I speak French (Quebecese French...))

1. You need to plug a cable into your laptop's headphone jack, then connect that to your TV's stereo audio inputs. (you'll probably need an adapter.)
2. Your laptop is natively widescreen. Your TV isn't. Any number of issues could be the one.

I know there is a cable (I bought one) that one end you can plug into your headphone jack or speaker output and the other end plugs into your TV.

Most stores should carry it.

About the display, when I plug my laptop in the TV, I put the screen resolution to 640x480 to make the picture fit the most possible in. But the display is cut a bit in the left and the top part the the screen.

Is there a way to correct this?

About the sounds, it's a great idea. But, will I need a S-Video to Video (the yellow connector) cable converter?

Most newer TVs have an S-Video input so you could use a S-Video <-> S-Video cable. For the screen resolution, (if you use windows):

plug in S-Video cable or whatever you use

right-click on desktop -> properties -> settings:
Below the graphic thing there is a long drop down menu. Change it to the '2' option. Now check the box for 'Extend my ... this computer'. Click Apply.

Press Yes the next dialog box that comes up (don't change anything in it)

settings -> Advanced -> Displays:
In the TV quadrant click the '1' box and press OK.

That's exactly what I do (my computer is widescreen and the TV is not) and it works perfectly without any part of the screen missing or anything like that.

For audio cables you can get something like: Headphone jack -> red & white endings (I don't know any of the technical names).

Maybe it will help you...

Got to Radio Shack and ask for Headphone -> A/V Audio cable (or Analog Audio, depending in the manufacturer).

About your idea. I can't put the TV as the default monitor. So, I can't display my game on the TV. Sorry.

Maybe the cable's age affects the picture display. My S-Video cable is old.

Am I right? Should I buy a new S-Video to S-Video cable?

thats the " the source" not "radio shack" anyways those guys should have this cable and yes youre not the one only one who has connected thier compy to thier tv before. and when i did i noticed it was fuzzy and distored. i couldn't read anything i was doing. and it was too large side like i can't read what was on top of screen nor could i see the start menu bar at the bottom. Blah blah blah long story short.

you could aslo grab a pair of stereo Speakers from there too i got mine for $20 and they play full quatily music and sounds.

Is the picture appearing on the laptop screen at the same time as the TV?

I find with my laptop, I have to go into display properties and change it so that the screen is turned off and the only active display is the TV. Well, rather, what I do is use the function key on my laptop that controls displays (the one that has the | [_] | symbol on it), and that never fails to switch it to TV only.

I find that if it isn't set to TV only, the laptop screen forces itself to be the default monitor and will skew what you see on the TV. If the TV is the only display, then the image will fit the TV properly.

As for the sound cable; get one from Radio Shack (or The Source, whichever it is where you are). I got mine from them and it hasn't failed me yet.
