Default Local ITG2 Dedicab malfunctioning... game slows down

My local ITG2 dedicab has not been functioning well lately, after it is been on for sometime each day the display will slow down and make the game play jittery, the load times also slow down considerablely, and even the game programing begins to act funny by not tracking the damage meter correctly. So when the game does slow down its easy to pass Surivial courses.

Turning off the cabinet for five mintues will clear the problem for a while so it seems like a hardware problem. Any suggestions?

well i dont know if this is any help...
but mabey the system its running on cant handle the game specifications.
was it used for ITG 1? ive never seen an ITG 2 machine yet, but if the game is higher definition, and has more things running in the background, then mabey its time for an upgraded CPU or somthing.
anyways, hope this helped.
and also, have a talk with the manager of the arcade you went to, we would most likley be more than happy to help.
i doubt they want to lose IGT players due to an easly fixable problem.
anyways, best of luck.

Our upgrade cab used to do this quite a bit. Is it up against a wall, or extremely dusty? If the machine can't properly ventilate, it may overheat and lag pretty badly.

try telling the manager to turn on and off the machine every once in a while, the machine may be malfunctioning due to overheating, or for just being turned on too long.

Also make sure the machine is patched correctly, and try updating the machine to R21 if you did not already, all errors and bugs are fixed up to that point.

Jesus Craig. Why is your arcade incapable of keeping your dance machines working?

I think it's the dust and the fact that it is LITERALLY against the wall.

Is it hacked? Alot of songs on the machine can really slow the whole game down...

we got 3 ITG2 dancemachines @ the Silverstone Scene (netherlands) and we had this behaviour too... the problem was indeed DUST...

The solution is,.. the FAN of the Videocard isnt working properly anymore due to dust.. or just quiting to work.. replace the fan if it is dead or.. just clean the fan.. to let it work smoothly again.. and while you are busy.. also clean the entire BOXOR.. especially the CPU part... the fan will grab onto dust.. so clean it..

cleaning will solve the problem of arrow lags and such..
