Default openITG Problem

ok, not a official release, but whatever.

It would seem that ITG does not want to show different colors of the arrows depending on what beat/ note its on. As in all arrows are orange. No... Flat is not on, so this should not happen. Even when I turn flat on it does the same thing. Even Cel, and metal do the same thing, but do change according to how the arrow is supposed to look.

Anyone know how to fix this?

why not? I like to throw songs on my flash drive on there, as well as songs from the ITG and ITG2 games to get a more realistic feeling of playing I guess. Plus There is also ITG Rebirth and the fanmade ITG3 pack. Also some of the songs sync better on ITG then on stepmania (Tricky Disco).

Redfix, here: Index of ./NoteSkins/3D/Red Fix/ Only works for Metal and Cel though, not Vivid.

And why not use OpenITG? It's almost required for ITG simfiles...

Thanks! That worked like a charm! I wonder why it started doing that once I started running OpenITG on Windows 7 beta...

oh, that's why

you're trying to run it off of a beta release of an incomplete OS that is currently based off of vista

no wonder it broke

also sm 3.95 or sm4 would work fine with itg; last i knew openitg was meant more for use in machines

It is meant for more use in the machines. It is just an open release of ITG that you can modify, but its nice to run it on a pc for reasons already stated.

there are both pc and arcade versions of openitg; it's also meant as a replacement for 3.95

and sm4 doesn't work with itg

also omega you're running the game in direct3d. switch to opengl and it should be better (although who knows if it'll actually work since you're using windows 7 lol).

you do this by going into your StepMania.ini and changing VideoRenderers=d3d,opengl to VideoRenderers=opengl,d3d

The OpenITG thread is mentioned in the Stepmania 3rd Party Build forum by Vyhd. I dunno if you go there regularly, ranatalus.

the only negative for openITG I can think of is the timing is very strange if you are using a keyboard, but thats just because its ITG I guess, because the PS2 port has strange timing difference too.

i can't imagine why timing would be any different between openitg and a 3.95 install using the same files and settings

the ps2 port of itg felt weird because ps2s have inaccurate controller i/o in comparison to the arcade
