Uh yeah you didn't answer my question... R21 and R23 are still up on the site. R22 was taken down the moment it was released because someone reported it to have very serious errors.

Someone tried to do the r21 thing to our machine, and its completely ruined. It doesent do anything. it crashes if you put money it.

ok im really confused here.... i really dont know how to do this.... ok im guessing u can download the songs off of this site right?? im really confused about that for one and the other thing is putting in the stepcharts... oh and how do u know wut songs can be played on the itg machine and wut cant?

and one more thing.... where can i convert the files into ogg format?

ok... im a complete noob at this can some1 help me out i just want to know how to play songs in the arcade i usualy just play the regular songs and put in my USB to save my score i download some songs but it doest seem to work in the machine can someone help me please

Just check of it's in .ogg format and that the song is no longer than 2min.

Some songs that I have like Silikon by Modeselektor is over 2min, but it has a Lenght patch, which means it can let me play the song....but the problem is if the song is WAY too long, the song will cut out

And cuts make RODD angry!

OK well...when you plug in the USB drive, there will be one of two noises: one is higher pitched than the other. Look in the lower left/right and there'll be the shape of a USB icon. If it has an X over it then it didn't mount correctly and no songs will show up. If it's green and has no X then it mounted correctly and will work fine.
Also, make sure that the songs are in .ogg format (if they're longer than 2 minutes they MUST be patched, you should be able to find it). Also, the stepfiles MUST be in .sm format. .dwi will NOT work for the R21 songs. The other thing you can check is if custom songs are enabled. On the main screen, near the bottom center, if custom songs are enabled, it will say "CUSTOM SONGS ENABLED" in white font. Look for all of that stuff. If you're still having problems, repost and I'll try to troubleshoot something else.

I was hoping someone could help me out, even if it's slightly irrevelant to the thread, because I just need a quick answer.

I'm trying to convert a song from mp3->ogg but I can't seem to do it, despite trying 3 different converters. There was something in the file about it being from an itunes library, so is it possible that restricts the file from being toyed around with, and if so is there a way to remove this?

Again, I know this isn't the exact place to ask this question, but I'm not sure where to go...

If the file is in use by another program, or if you're trying to save it to a weird place, that could be the problem. Try making a copy of the file and placing it on your desktop, and then converting that file.

ok i made two of my own step files on stepmania and they are off sync on itg2. its an r21 machine.

when i made the stepfiles for both they they were .mp3 not .ogg i later put them in ogg to play them at the arcade and they work but they are about a fraction of a second off. all my other stepfiles that i got here and other places work fine after ive converted them to ogg and was just wondering why they are off.
