problems running ITG PC on Mac

if anyone can provide help, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a Mac Powerbook G4, 12 inch laptop. I could play both stepmania and ITG PC on my machine no problem and no lag until I updated. I was on Mac OS X 10.3 and when I updated to 10.4 I started having problems with stepmania and ITG PC

Basically, when I start up stepmania, it will load the songs but then open up a black screen and not move forward, no sound, no picture, and you can't force quit the application. You can only turn the machine off and then turn it back on.

With ITG PC, it starts up and does the same black screen but doesn't move forward. I can't quit the app, and when I go into the disk utility to do a force quit, it pops up with a message saying I need to restart the computer and turn it off and back on.

I have no idea what happened. The only thing I changed was updating to 10.4, but I don't see how that could change my set-up enough so that I am not able to run either program.

any help would be appreciated. thanks!

re-install StapMania

if you've done it, then... i don't know anymore choices for you...

definitely tried that...tried re-installing stepmania and ITG PC but neither worked. i have no idea what happened. guess no one else really uses macs out there....

i have a mac and use Stepmania...nothing of this ever happened to me. It just works fine o.O

I'm sorry, I just lol'd at the title. A PC game not working on a Mac.

Seems self-explanatory, doesn't it? XD

Anyway, I'd recommend changing your Mac's screen resolution to something lower before you start the game, that may be your problem. I had a problem running the game when my resolution was maxed out, and ITG was trying to launch at 800x600. I think it was having problems adjusting the resolution, so I lowered my computer's resolution to 1280x1024, and it worked just fine from there.

I don't know if that'll help or not, good luck though!
