Trouble With Arcade Pads

I miss like 1 out of 3 arrows every time. My brother says I just have to get used to them. I still can't. I can't pass vertex^2 on an arcade pad which bothers me. I thought maybe because I'm only 10 and am too light but I saw a 9 year old pass it.Should I step harder? I don't know what to do

Tell the manager (or whoever's in charge of the machine) to fix the pads.

no, everywhere i go i can't seem to get it(at least ddr pads)

Get someone older than you to talk to your operator or manager.

Unless you can tell them something like "I'm really sorry to bother you, but i'm having troubles on the ITG machine. The pads don't seem to be functioning", they might not care to listen because of your age.

a) if it's on DDR pads, get used to it. DDR pads are notorious for wearing out quickly, and being very finnicky with steps. Chances are you'd do better on an ITG dedicab machine. If you're still have trouble, make sure you're stepping fully on the arrows. and not just the metal platform around the panels.

Pretty impressive for a 10 year old.

I mean, you've been here at least a month and haven't pissed everyone off.

As for your problem- I learned how to maintain DDR pads (actually, I got a job that way, too). Being able to show up, take 30 minutes to do a quick clean up, and play for about 2 hours uninterrupted always used to get me going. Now, to be fair, I don't think they would let you work on the machine, so I'll tell you what I told the 11 year old when I used to play alot (he could beat me at Maxx Unlimited when he wouldn't miss arrows cus of his weight):

Lower your ass.

actually if you call them they wont think your ten.

When I was 10, I made a call to place about a DDR machine. Sadly they were only renting the machine, and could not fix any problems with it.

Anyways just ask someone else if they are having problems too. I had alot of problems hitting the down arrow because I was very short (and still short), and that resulted in me missing some arrows as well. Ask someone to spot the arrows you are hitting and see if you are even hitting every arrow.
