So do I, but it's not official, nor is it called VerTex³. That song is actually SPEEDCORE SUNDAY by INTERRUPT VECTOR.

by reading this topic, I can imagine an 8th note run at 1440 BPM at the near end of the song.

So, No way. Vertex is already crap. What do we expect on Vertex :/

ugh if they made another one, they might as well turn it into the next Paranoia or Max or something.
but there needs to be more ZigZag in ITG, Vertex or not

I did mean PARANOiA -Respect-, and I already knew that that one was originally from Party Collection. What I was refering to was ANY PARANOiA's on DDR arcade versions, even if they were previously on home versions or other Bemani games, but not earlier arcade DDR games.

As for VerTex^2, I actually like that song, and I think that it is better than the original VerTex.

As for 14-footers, it wouldn't be too surpising if one of the first 14-footers is from a metal group, particularly DragonForce. (On the other hand, the first 14-footer will most likely be composed by Kyle Ward or ZiGZaG.) I've seen some pretty intense DragonForce simfiles (even for keyboard), and the constant 200 BPM 16th note runs might push the difficulty up to 14 feet.

DragonForce would be great. I've only heard Fury of the Storm, but if all their other songs are that good, I'd be happy if they did the first 14.

And as to V^2 being better than VerTex...

OMFG

ARE

YOU

KIDDING

ME???!!!

The bass rhythms in VerTex are cool. The VerTex^2 random notes are apparently "bass beats." No. Please don't try to explain for the stupidity of that OR the stupidity of making a guy screw up his voice just to say YES YES YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!

V^2 is better than the original. The original is boring, V^2 is far more interesting musically.

Oh and I swear to god, ITG3 better not have any power metal. Power Metal is one of the worst forms of musical excrement on this planet.

Interesting does not always translate into good.

"More interesting" does not always translate into "better."

Boring VerTex might be (not, actually) but at least it doesn't offend anyone. Or burn their delicate ears.

What's Power Metal supposed to sound like? I've never been exposed to that before. Is it worse than, say, Energizer? That would be bad. Very bad.

You defend vertex^2 but say power metal is musical excrement? I have not heard such drivel in quite a while. Power metal has structure, form and tune which is more than anyone can say for vertex^2. Even though power metal would not fit in a dance game absolutely, ranking it below vertex^2 on a musical level is quite hilarious.

Uh...you forgot about Machinae Supremacy (responsible for "Bouff" and "Hybrid" in ITG1 and "Cryosleep" in ITG2). Sure, Machinae Supremacy isn't quite power metal, but it is metal. As for VerTex^2 (IMHO), it actually sounds cool (even though it isn't very structured). On the other hand, VerTex is pretty structured, but it is melodically boring. And yes, I do also enjoy power metal.

Power Metal is unbareable cheese and masturbation with no deeper musical value other than something that the wankery and sing-along whores will eat up because they get off on hearing 10000 guitar notes per second topped with a fun sing along chorus. It's the kind of music I listened to when I thought I loved music, but then stopped once I started to actually appreciate music rather than view it as a form of entertainment. That being said, there is still plenty of worthwhile music that caters to more entertainment value than anything else, but is still musically mature and competent enough to provide good music and avoid such hideous excesses that power metal succumbs to.

Vertex^2 is a very interesting mix of noise and experimental techno... two very legit genres of music. Comparing it to power metal by saying it has no "structure, form, and tune" means it's a musical genre that obviously flies over your head. Your personal idea of "structure, form, and tune" is not a deciding factor on what makes good music, especially for the noise/experimental genre, in which each takes a whole different meaning than the traditionally and conventionally structured songs and melodies of a genre such as Power Metal. No, it's not for everyone, but those who are into more challenging genres of music or are tired of convention would find much more to like in V2 than Power Metal. Power Metal is fucking dreadful.

I said the original was boring, and V2 was more interesting. Obviously if I think one is boring and one is interesting, which one do think would I would say is better? I never said that it ALWAYS does, as you seem to think I have.

IMO...Vertex^2 s only flaw was the absence of a steady beat in the beginning of the song, other than that, I liked it.
