Default What is with peoples loyalty to itg?

Im not talking about fans, im talking about simfile sites. Its okay to steal all of konami's step files and put them into convenient little packages, (Btw im cool with that, it helps me alot,) but for some reason it's taboo to post itg stepfiles. WHY!? I mean, it's not like roxor games deserves it any less. Even though im a fan of itg, i have to admit its a big ripoff of ddr (even if in most cases it's better.) So, can someone explain why people are so loyal to itg? And does anyone have any sm packs of itg that are zips? (i csnt deal with all that torrent crap)

I could be wrong on this one, but I believe one of the main reasons that people don't like the free distribution of ITG simfiles is because of the ITG PC game coming out soon, in which the distribution of simfiles would stop people from buying the game itself, when instead they could just download SM and all the simfiles for free.

hmm, that makes sense i guess, but why should people buy ddr on the consoles or at arcades when they can download every single mix for sm andn just buy a ps2 usb adapter? are people jus more worried about roxors finances because there more independent?

A few people may have no idea you could hook up a pad to your computer, they could think it's illegal, they have dialup and get horrible download times, there could be many reasons why console releases are still popular.

Stepmania doesnt run well on some computers, which could scare people off.

And people dont seem to make doubles charts very much, and it would be nice to have them for doubles players.

Is it really "loyalty" when the people who make the game are aware of the simfile community and try to stop their product from being spread? The big difference, let's be honest, is that Konami has so far been a lot less inclined to hunt down simfilers. Roxor, on the other hand, is starting a new series, and needs all the actual arcade/home version support it can get: if that means trying to stop the spread of content, they'll do so.

Stealing Stepfiles and mp3s = piracy = illegal.

You all do the math here. Not only is piracy illegal, it hits companies like Roxor Games right in the wallet, seeing as they have a very limited game base and therefore limited room to fsck around.

ITG fans probably know that.

Stepmania runs atrociously on my computer with the ITG theme, so I play the DDR theme. I have all the doubles files and all the singles files for ITG1 and 2 synced close, wasn't hard to find, but it's not on the internet. Get to know people in the loop and you get what you want (the new ITG3 doubles charts are amazing, and so is the new single Expert for Esperanza :X)

Roxor has threatened. Konami has not. End of story.

I don't like where this thread is going

>we are basically borderline discussing hacked ITG material
>someone has hinted about the possession of leaked ITG3 files
>the thread starter is asking for simfiles
>the thread has basically been answered
