Upon checking the prices for the week, myself and a couple friends find that $115 for all five days is quite ridiculous. I know there's probably nothing that can be done about changing the prices, but I'd like to know why they are fairly high.

Well if you think about the fact that TGA has a ton of machines to keep running and upkeep on as well as the fact that they got kors k and Ryu* to come here, they would need $115 to cover all those upkeep costs for the week and such as well as whatever they're paying DM Ashura, Setzer, Cusimo and Co, and of course the Bemani Avex superstars.

Expensive, relatively. But I hear it's worth it even if wait for DDR/IIDX/Pop'n is 45-95 minutes/game >.>

pop'n is maybe 25-30 minutes, depends on who is playing, and on what mode (people who play challenge get Extra Stage 80% of the time, people who play super challenge got it 100% of the time last year).

IIDX depends on the day and time of day. Could be 30-90 minutes, it will probably be 90 minutes through most of the second day.

And a lot of these artists just do this because they're going anyways and want to be a part of the community (maybe not ryu* or kors k, but the other guys lol).

The majority of the cost is performers, upkeep, electricity, staffing, and replacement parts for the damage done durring BMF. Kors K and Ryu* are payed performers, and living in another country doesn't help the costs. Not to mention we may be announcing another performer very soon. Thankfully artists such as DM Ashura and Cusimo & co volunteer their skill to have fun concerts for the Bemani community to help cut costs there. Building upkeep, AC upkeep (which we will have this year) and etc add to it, then there is the electricity, that will be alot, especially with the AC. Staffing is another expensive part, alot of us, including myself, have volunteered to work for free to help reduce entry cost, but staff accomidations are still needed for those of us who live long distances. And another huge cost is machine repair! After BMF06 we had to replace all of the switches in Pop'n Music (thanks kappa :-p haha), aswell as the buttons. We have also replaced all the switches in IIDX. Durring last years BMF the IIDX turn table actually snapped, it began to crack and finally snapped durring the event, that was very costly to repair. Also, both our guitar freaks cables broke, those were $300 a piece to be replaced, and the overall wear and tear on the ddr sensors have left us with about $1300 in sensor replacement since then. So all that non stop constant wear and tear really adds up, especially when it's all people playing songs on Anthony/EX/Expert. We also have more machines this year which may slightly reduce the wait time.

Anthony, if you need any help running this (and if I could possibly get in for cheaper... haha, kidding of course!), I'd be willing to play Staff for a few days. And no I'm not just some random person trying to get in for a few dollars cheaper, I've run and helped run large events. Getting good help is hard because most people want to run off and do other things! That and I just want to watch over all the good people playing games :3 Let me know, otay?

You've got to be fucking kidding me. I'd like to get word from Anthony about the wait times this year, because those are totally ridiculous.

It's stuff like this that makes me cry that I live in sucky England. I'd love to come, it sounds so fun to be around people who do the same stuff as you, know what your talking about when you refer to Bemani and have fun all the same. God, if I could pursuade my dad to go to USA for a holiday at least 50 miles near TGA I would in a heartbeat!

I can't wait to see the videos and photos of what happened though!

Now that I am back from Japan, I should be making plans to head over there. I will most assuredly be there again this year, so don't worry fans.
