NEWSFLASH:
My mom's birthday is two days after BMF ends, so I think it would be a real blast if we all pitch in and get something for her.

Okay fine we can switch off doing drums and other percussion: triangles, congas, what have you.

Also, I'm a little bit concerned about the fact that nobody is posting in the hotel thread, since having a place to stay is important to me and I don't want to have to pay $90 for a room by myself. I know there is still a couple months before the event, but I'd like to be able to make plans as much in advance as possible.

TGA should be open on July 2nd, from 2pm-midnight. I believe the only days they're closed in the summer are Tuesdays. If you want a definite answer go to TGA's website and send Andy a message.
Regarding the hotels, look towards the Best Western in Fitchburg. It's like 17 miles from TGA. There's also a Super 8 motel in Leominster (pronounced Lemon-stir ), and a Motel 6 in Leominster (behind Denny's). The two Leominster hotels are about a 30 minute drive from TGA. If you were looking for people to room with, sorry I can't help you, my house is full.

I noticed on google maps that it's only about 2 miles away from tga so that sounds good to me since I won't have transportation and that's the only hotel within walking distance.

I don't see you pitching in for gifts for our families
