Default Best 360GH controller?

So, I'm considering buying GH for the 360, I played the PS2 ones and found them entertaining enough. However, I don't know much about the 360 version of the game.

Which pack has the better guitar, GH2 or GH3? Are they both wireless? Any problems with either?

GH2 comes with a wired Xplorer, GH3 with a wireless Les Paul unless you buy it at Wal-Mart, where it also comes with a wired Xplorer.

The Les Paul is a better built controller. It's wireless which is nice, and as far as i know, there's only one model, and it's very good. I've played on a few different model Xplorers that all acted strange in different ways. Odd feel on the strum bar, wonky star power activation, and pretty much any Xplorer you get will have it's whammy bar sag after a while, among other things. my first one stopped working after i touched it with static build up in my hand. most of the buttons stopped working. it sucked ass.

That being said, i still prefer playing with the Xplorer. the only problems i had with mine was the sagging whammy bar, which i've gotten used to. the body feels lighter, and the neck is thinner, making it the most comfortable for me to play on. and i'm never so far from my system that i need a wireless controller.

your best bet is with the Les Paul, though, as most players prefer it and you're much less likely to have any problems with it.

Well, I've had my Xplorer that comes with GH2 since it came out and haven't had any problems with it. I bought GH3 when it came out with the Les Paul and that guitar crapped out on me within a week, the pick gave out.

So through my experiences I would have to say go for the Xplorer. Yeah it's wired, but at least you don't have to deal with batteries and what not.

If your Les Paul works, it's better IMHO, simply because for me, I like the firmer feel of the strum bar/whammy bar.
