It looks interesting. But difficult at the same time. Like how the added effects on one of the button tracks, crossfaders on the other and scratch on the last. I don't know. I need to see some actual gameplay and not pictures. Hopefully it's at E3 09'.
Bothered by the handful of DJ games coming all out at once. Hurts the potential quality of tracklists for each game when the block of heavy-hitters are being spread out thin over these games like butter scraped over too much bread.
Actually, I'm kind of digging the soundtrack. Gameplay does look like it's going to be a bit easy, though. I didn't see much scale upwards at all, and that note track moves a bit too slowly. Not that there's anything inherently/mechanically wrong with a slower track speed, but it kind of cuts down on the excitement factor. Also, very minimal interface with not much interesting happening "on stage."
I hope this is something like a demo version, not exactly the finished product. There's a lot of potential here, but as it is, it's not being fully utilized.
can we all just be honest and say that these mashups sound really really well done?
I thought I had said that, but after looking up, guess not...
Yeah, I'm actually quite surprised with the quality of the soundtrack. I can't stand Benny Benassi's "Satisfaction" in the least, but with the mix they've got here, it actually sounds like an enjoyable tune. Let's hope the rest is up to par with what they've sampled for us.
