I myself prefer classic rock.
30+ years of excellent music is far superior to 3 years of variably-good rock.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those elitists that hate everything commercial. It's just that I'm more apt to turn off the commercial-rock station out of disgust more often. I'm hearing Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance when it clearly belongs in the pop circles, and don't get me started on guys like Nickelback.
Also, I hate to break it to you. The mean age of GH fans is higher than you think, OP. Much higher than your age. It's like writing a letter to Konami demanding they put unpopular GF-cover songs back in the V-series (though I did like their version of Johnny B. Goode). | |

and yea, i also think it might be good to put some newer songs in, that area little more complicated than say cowboys from hell, or anything that audio slave. i don't think that theres anything wrong with those song, i just don't think that there complexity is up to par with the modern stuff. and since this is a music game, complexity in harder songs should be must. its good to have old easy songs for beginners i guess, but something like dragonforce or cannibal corpse or august burns red or war of ages would be well appreciated and well accepted i think. it would also maybe help some people to appreciate more music that just the "YAY  blink-182 and green day rock hard!!!" crowd.

Its not a bad idea to have some modern day songs but....
They have to be GOOD songs. Not like AFI and pop shit. Dragonforce is annoying due to the fact that "Just because you CAN pla a guitar really fucking fast, doesnt mean its a good band, nor have cool songs"
