The video you have seen is probably a widely-circulated video of a custom chart on a hacked GH2, I don't think there's any official media yet

There was, actually. Score Hero somehow nabbed a preview of the chart, and you can tell it's GH3 because of a lot of interface changes and a viking.

wasn't Bayside in DL pack for GH2? That's a damn good band from today's music scene to throw into this game.

honestly, i think that this game would benefit from putting in music from the current music scene. i understand the classic rock anthem thing, but there's no way you're going to put out "a new GH every year" with rock anthem songs every year. you're gonna have to throw some mediocrity in there soon.

bands like White Stripes, Brand New (new CD), Thursday, Thrice, Silverstein, Deftones, Anberlin, all very good bands of this current decade, some of the past decade just sticking around and still making good music.

also, it would add a huge jump in sales with today's younger gaming audience. they're not into techno (being very broad when I say that), and game music like some of you, they're into Motion City Soundtrack and Fall Out Boy....and maybe the Ramones, but typically they're just buying that shirt because it was on sale somewhere. today's youth isn't going to go out and buy a game full of "who the hell is that" considering the pricing of these new consoles and games? not to mention the accessories you have to purchase to get the full experience. If you throw in at least two or three out of the....six of seven sets of songs, i'm sure a lot of kids will pick it up and play it, and if you keep adding via DLC, they'll rake in a good amount of dough.

not to be disrespectful, but just because it's old music doesn't mean it's "classic rock". That crap is still crap, that band just realized it and stopped doing it or died. In today's society, it's a bit harder to be in the music business in general and be hailed as a "Rock God" or "Rap Superstar" or something along those lines when everyone else has already done it. Back then, everything was new and inventive, meanwhile in this day and age, there are a lot of musical styles that remain untapped, but for the most part, it's all been done.

And would you guys please lay off with the "emofag/scene kid" stuff? I mean honestly, it's freaking music. You like what you like and it's fine to tell someone "oh that band isn't so good" but it's another thing to throw out the "go cut your wrist, emo kid" shit. What you consider rock, metal, emo, post-hardcore, whatever is your business, but don't shun other people because they like something you don't or vice versa...just be a smart ass and go on with your day.


and yes, Underoath should be in Rock Band/Guitar Hero....preferrably Guitar Hero, so no one has to do Spe's vox, but it would be kickass to do some of Aaron's drumming from A Moment Suspended In Time.
