GH on PS3?

I love Guitar Hero. But the problem is I don't have it. Or a ps3. Or a 360. Or a wii for that matter...but I wanted to know if GHIII for the ps2 would work on the ps3. I'm really torn between purchasing a 360 or playstation right now and oddly enough Guitar Hero is one of the deciding factors for me right now lol.

No, it won't. How the guitar is wired to the board for the PS2 Guitar controllers is completely different from how it's wired to the PS3 controller.

PS2 GH will only work on PS2, PS3 GH will only work on PS3.
