Guitar Hero 3rd Party Controllers

Post your past experience with third party GH controllers. I'm considering buying a wireless one, but the RedOctane one costs almost as much as the bundle, so there's no way in hell I'd buy it. I'm weary of buying a third party and having it sucks.

Im guessing you play on PS2?
My friend has gotten 2 wireless ones for PS2, one (that red flying V) has given us problems like connectivity, sometimes it will just stop relaying the info and youll lose your combo/whole song. Also the buttons are a bit more spread out and a bit more bulky to the touch and pressing. the second link there(the other guitar he has) hasnt given me at least any problems.

Yeah, I bought the one on the second link (it's the official one). They used to have a different V guitar on EBGames but they took it down a few days ago. I wanted to buy one of the blue ones, but from what I'm hearing it's not very good.
