It's been confirmed that GH5 will have song specific challenges & Carlos Santana will be unlockable to play as.

Also, that's cool I guess, but the prospect of including "licensed" characters is still moot, sat least to me, because I play with my own characters much more than say, Ozzy.

Okay, so the songs I want but can't get in Rock Band:

Billy Idol: "Dancing With Myself"
King Crimson: "21st Century Schizoid Man"
Rush: "The Spirit of Radio (Live? From which recording?)"
Bon Jovi: "You Give Love a Bad Name"

Welp. Four songs. That's a new low. I think that's tied with Rock Revolution. And now, Harmonix needs to turn around and release songs 1,3, and 4 as a DLC group, and go the extra mile with King Crimson by giving us the whole Discipline album (or even Red). Sure, then we wouldn't have 21st Century Schizoid Man, but "Elephant Talk" or "Starless" would make up for that.

Oh, look. They've announced what the Band Hero Drum peripheral will look like.



I should mention that like w/ the rest of the BH peripherals, they won't work on the DSi because they won't fit. They're meant for the DS Lite.

...So they're releasing a piece of hardware incompatible with the latest system that the parent company is trying to promote?

Wow. That's just a terrible decision all around.

Like I said. GH5 is the biggest let-down of the series. Even more so than 80s.

GH80s was only a disappointment for how short it was (and that it was mistakenly sold at standard retail price instead of the promised $29.99). But while it was short, it had a pretty awesome set of songs. If anything, I'd liken this to be a worse disappointment than GHIV, which was tainted by the fact that Activision was clearly trying to imitate Rock Band, even going as far as to double up on songs in the setlist.

...And "Hungry Like The Wolf" is already in Rock Band 2. As is another Billy Idol song. And I know No Doubt has a whole "greatest hits" DLC pack.

Just sayin'.
