Both Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II by themselves are way better than Guitar Hero III, so yes.

GH1 has the impossible hammer-ons, GHII has the best songlist.

GHIII has the easier hammer-ons and a decent songlist.

...I'd buy the bundle.

I've always wondered: With the 1&2 pack, did they go back and alter the ho/po timing windows to be consistent with GHII? If so it'd be worth my while picking it up second hand to actually get a good score on BatM and CfH.

Nope, they're both the exact same games that they were before. If you want a 2nd chance at BatM, download the pack off of Xbox Live, if you've got a 360.

I refuse to buy GH3 because of the ridiculous level of commercialization Activision foisted upon it (I mean, really, selling out an entire venue to a car manufacturer? Yeah, that's rock.) So, yeah, get the bundle.

I agree about the lovely advertising in GHIII It's just ridiculous. There is an Axe body spray guitar and a random pack of 5 Gum on the setlist. That in itself made me cry inside. I say get the bundle. I mean really, it's two geat games in one. Go for it!

For sixty bucks, that's a friggin' deal. Gotta wonder if it comes with one or two guitars, and if they are the same guitars as the ones at launch. You really can't break the original PS2 guitars.

Yes, why not miss out on a totally satisfactory game because of advertisements that is pretty much unnoticeable except on that level, including a completely optional guitar!

If you have a 360 or PS3, go for GH3, but if not, go for the bundle and buy your own guitar

See, I was thinking it but I wanted to believe someone else would say it.

GHIII has the best setlist IMO but they made it so fucking easy with the rediculous hammer ons and the rock meter almost forgets to go down when you miss

GHII is a better game i think but GHI I've never played but i heard its a lot easier than the other two.

pros and cons pros and cons.... I'd go with I+II it's a great deal and II is just amazing
