Turning it up to 11, Guitar Hero fans will channel their inner rock god using Gibson Guitar’s Les Paul and Kramer models as the industry standard. In addition, players will experience an incredible number of newly added features and explosive content including a new multiplayer action-inspired battle mode, grueling boss battles, a bevy of exclusive unlockable content and authentic rock venues. Expanded online multiplayer game modes will also allow axe-shredders worldwide to compete head-to-head for true legendary rock status.

For the first time ever, Guitar Hero fans will also be able to thrash and burn with new wireless guitar controllers available for each platform. The exclusive Gibson guitars will include innovative features such as removable faceplates that will allow fans to later personalize their guitars and make it their own, and a new button color design that will be integrated for an even greater authentic feel and rock experience.

To be for PS2, PS3, Wii, and 360, releasing late October(29th or something).

This is being developed by Activision's Neversoft team, not Harmonix, but it'll still rock, and with any luck, still include Freezepop. Discuss, rock, all that.

The sheer amount of "by" as opposed to "as made famous by" is making me giddy. Also, Paint It Black, Knights of Cydonia, and Cult of Personality? Yes, please.

A little disappointed by the art style, and the fact that there are now 6 star power saves, but whatever. I play it more for fun anyway, so no big deal.

Meh... Metallica's got better songs. But they've also got worse, so I guess it's okay. And I suppose one of the 7+ minute songs from Master of Puppets or Ride The Lightning would have been asking too much, eh?

Liking the inclusion of AFI, not liking the choice of song. Something from Black Sails... would have been better, methinks.

Hooray for a great Black Sabbath song (War Pigs has always been meh), sucks it's a cover. But with Ozzy's current state and given the age of the master track, it's understandable.

SLAYER!!! SLAAAAAYEEEERRRRRR!!! Sweet. I couldn't really ask for anything else, besides maybe (MAYBE) Angel of Death.

Rock You Like a Hurricane's a little late to the party, but I welcome the inclusion nonetheless.

And I'm still totally psyched for the master track of Number of the Beast. Barring some AMAZING unknown inclusion, that's probably going to be my most-whored-out song in GH3.

I think Slayer is really overrated. The only songs I ever liked of theirs were covers (ie Hand of Doom).

Everything of theirs after South of Heaven sucks major monkey balls and you should not use that material as the basis of an opinion.

That being said, yeah, they are a little overrated, but Rain In Blood was still a pretty damn good album. Which features such songs as... whattya know... RAINING BLOOD!!!
