What is going on? I don't like the idea of drums in this game.
Wack.

Wack. | It was either Activision or Neversoft, I think Activision. They bought the GH namesake and all the crap that goes with it and told Nevresoft "Make.", while Harmonix went onto make the awesomeness that is Rock Band.

Harmonix was purchased by EA, and EA said "Hey guys make us a game winnar" and Harmonix said "OK we wanna make a game with a whole band and we're the ones that actually have the code that Guitar Hero was built with so we can pump this out pretty fast if you give us the a-ok."

I'm betting it's a foot pedal. Any other guesses?

in all seriousness, why GH and RB still use their terrible song selection menus is beyond me. i hope they rip off the Konami "song wheel" soon. having to navigate through a billion menus to pick my character and difficulty every time i start up the game rocks hard, and having to back out of career mode to change difficulties is really cool, and i love having to scroll through every song if i want to play And Justice for All right after playing Working Man...

| Rock Band already has an artist ABC and title ABC sort, and a difficulty sort, so you can't say anything about that. GH and RB have both already separated the main setlist, bonus songs, and DLC. They also increased the speed at which you can scroll through the songs.

Marketplace Rating: 13 | True that. The only thing I can really say in its defense, is that if you were playing career mode, wouldn't you want the setlist in order of difficulty? I can understand wanting something like this in quickplay easily, but there's really no need for that in Career mode.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | it makes sense for the whole "progress through Career mode" but not so much once you actually finish it. and i like playing career mode for the whole score saving feature.

Marketplace Rating: 3 | My Chemical Romance are now a confirmed band, as in Official Nintendo Magazine (UK), there is a preview of GH4 and one of the captions says:
"Here, Chris (one of the writers) gives it his all singing My Chemical Romance. No, really"
They also say in the article that "confirmed bands so far include Van Halen, Linkin Park, The Eagles, Sublime and The Answer, and we were also shown some fantastic tracks that we're not allowed to talk about yet. Needless to say, there are some big artists still to be announced".
Also, in the song creation mode they explain how easy it is to use, and claim to have made a remix of Iron Man by Black Sabbath.
Finally, DLC for the Wii will not take up much space at all for GHTunes, as all you are downloading is a set of instructions, not an actualy music file. | |
