It's RedOctane, so as long as the actual connectors for the circuitry aren't detachable (FREAKING GH3 WIRELESS GUITAR), they should be pretty sturdy.

May I ask what you're basing that song list of, Opethian? Because seeing the Doors, Rammstein, and (most of all) "A Song for the Dead" completely jarred me. If this is remotely true, I might--though that's a big "might"--actually consider getting this.

The custom soundtrack feature should be now standardized in music-based games (and Konami needs one badly for DDR games on next-gen), which I noticed in Wikipedia, but how would it work on the PS2 version? I mean the PS2 isn't great for playing music on it (it can't even read CD-RWs for crying out loud!). While I am here, can someone change this topic to Guitar Hero: World Tour? That's what the name is going to be in the final version, based on Wikipedia.

I just saw this on another forum as well, I'm not sure if it is official or a rumor, though honestly, the song choice seems pretty likely.

I'm wondering why they decided to make setlists so small and many though?

There are quite some songs that are great choices, though others are quite craptastic (why.... why do they insist on dragging The Kill into another game, for god's sake??) My favorite set is without any doubt, the Rush/Pink Floyd/Dream Theater one.

it's supposedly a leaked setlist, but as it stands right now, it's just a rumor. i'm inclined to believe that it's fake as it's too good top to bottom, features too high a percentage of previously licensed artists. if that is the actual setlist though, i just hope Neversoft gets their shit together and charts half of it worth a damn.

i just realized that 3 songs per venue is the average amount of songs per city in RB's World Tour mode. so if this turns out to indeed be true, that'll be one more thing GHWT is completely biting off RB.

my favorite part of the setlist: how the Undertow Tour features no songs from Undertow. even better when you consider that songs from Undertow would probably translate into GH better than any of Tool's other stuff.

I could've sworn I read in an issue of GI that World Tour was going to have Zeppelin. So, I'm not betting on that list... not yet anyway.

There was a problem with Jimmy Page apparently not wanting to let others borrow the Master Tracks, hence the overall lack of Led Zeppelin in all GH/RB.

I also seriously doubt this "three songs by the same artist" thing with Tool. It has some good selections, but to be honest I have a lot of doubts there.

if i'm not mistaken, Tool announced that they were going to have three songs in the next GH game, which everyone assumed would be a DLC pack, so it's more likely than one would first be inclined to believe.

Stinkfist should be replaced with H. anyways.

That list was debunked by Activision several days ago. They called it "baseless speculation and wishful thinking".

That sucks, especially for Activision--now they're most likely going to have to deal with the pitfalls of audience expectations created by a false songlist. It's bad enough that Rock Band 2 has already made their official list known; and not only can this mean even more bad publicity, but this was unnecessary and (from the sound of it) out of Activision's control.

What I'm getting at is, I think I feel a little bad for Activision.
