Guitar Hero - PS2 question

I have played the PS2 version of GHIII, and have encountered some technical problems like stuttering to load (mainly during Star Power, and the "You Rock!" screen). Does anyone else who played the PS2 version, encountered this, too?

Only when using progressive scan/widescreen. I also noticed that when I pause the game (for any reason), quite often the audio begins to lag really badly, and it's not a sync problem, because it's fine at the start of the song.

That's just what I've noticed on break at work though, I don't know if that's a common problem.
