Guitar Hero: Van Halen Announced

There's been rumors, retail listings on GameStop (it's been taken down), & it's been rated on German rating boards, but it still hasn't been confirmed yet, but now it appears that it might be true as Destructoid has received a list of some achievements for the game that might reveal some stuff:

- 4 songs ("Little Guitars", "Cathedral", "Spanish Fly", & "Eruption")

- Van Halen's famous "Frankenstein" guitar can be unlocked

- Expert+ from Metallica & Smash Hits will return

- Custom tattoos, possibly a new feature in create-a-character

- 2 achievements might hint at 2 other songs that might appear in the game, "Running With the Devil", & "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love"

Apparently workers at Gamestop have said it has a street date of Aug 4 or something like that.

WHY ARE THEY FLOODING THE MARKET WITH SO MANY DAMNED GH GAMES THIS YEAR?

I mean, I like Van Halen, but seriously, in the span of a year or so, we've had Aerosmith, World Tour, Metallica, On Tour, On Tour: Decades, On Tour: Modern Hits, Greatest Hits, and now possibly Van Halen, NOT TO MENTION we might still get another new one at the end of the year.

They're going to kill this series with this many damn games in this small of a time period.

That's how it works now. If you don't like it, there's always Rock Band.

It's not that I don't like Guitar Hero, in fact, I still like it quite a bit. What I don't like is that instead of doing what they've done for the past couple of years(one major release, one expansion pack-ish type game, and more recently, one portable per year), they're throwing new games at us like unwanted children.

I probably still won't believe it after I see the chart. Eruption doesn't sound THAt hard listening to it. Then again, neither did TtFaF or DWDtG. But HOPEFULLY Activision has learned their lesson now about overcharting...hopefully.
