Lefty problem?

When I play (I'm a lefty), I find myself hitting start and pausing the song alot on harder songs.

I tried taking apart my guitar, but my screw heads arent skinny enough to get in the guitar body.

Any ideas?

I am a left hander, but I learnt to play guitar with my right. So, did you actually play guitar with a left-handed one, or are you beginning to play, but have never played a guitar before, but you're thinking that playing right handed will hamper your playing?

It's really meant to be played right-handed anyway. I'm ambidextrous myself, and I've attempted on several occasions to play left-handed, and had the same problems.

why any left handed person would want to play guitar (and by extension, guitar hero) left handed is beyond me. Maybe that comes from learning different instruments first, but stringed instruments are about the only ones where the left hand is doing all the work in its native configuration.

All your right hand has to do on guitar is keep rhythm, your left one is the one that needs the dexterity. try playing right handed, it may make more sense and cause less problems with the controller. It does for me anyway =\

you lefties seriously play righty? maybe ill try it, but im a "i do almost everything lefty" lefty.

I play right-handed despite being a lefty, just because that's how I play guitar.

And I play guitar right-handed because my right hand doesn't have the coordination to move accurately on the fretboard. Which is weird and probably an indication of a lack of practice with said hand, because it's the reverse problem when I'm playing piano.

But extra reason to play righty on GH: the damn whammy bar. I don't like having it between me and my strumming hand. Something about it being there just makes the whole thing feel awkwardly cramped.

Im not a lefty but it seems as though the only choice that you really have is to learn righty.

Perhaps you can just cover the buttons with something solid

Or play with the almost guitar upright like a bass Cello

(I do that for fun at times.)

I see people complain about this on almost every board.... I think ima trying playing lefty-flip just to see how much of a difference it really makes. It'll give me something to do with the game until guitar hero III comes out.

You need a pen screwdriver. You can find them on websites that sell modchips. They're generally used to open Nintendo DSes.

I would say either learn to play right-handed (Like I do, I'm lefty, but I play righty) or cover the buttons up with something hard. You won't need to ever hit those buttons during a song anyway, so covering them won't hurt. :P

Yeah and I am a lefty and I have just started playing GF, and I find it quite tough to strum with my right hand.

I think I am going to give up soon because I keep missing the notes and even failing songs on LIGHT judgement.

Anyone can give me tips?

I'm a righty, through and through, yet I play guitar (and the game as well) left-handed. With Guitar Hero, I just arch my wrist so it's over the Start/Select buttons, and I just bring my wrist down on the whammy bar. Don't really have to many problems.

question. when people say lefty and righty, which hand is doing the buttons on GH? and which is plucking?

lefty = press 5 buttons with left hand? or lefty = strum with left..?

Lefty=Strumming with left hand.
