Default Possibility of GH in arcades?

Do you think that GH will be ported to arcade ever? I'd really like to see it happen.

No, never. With the way the U.S. takes cares of it's Arcades it would break down quickly. Most arcades don't seem to care or take respect and not to mention the consumers as well.

There was a report of a machine running in the UK once a while ago. It had 2 people taking money and watching over it as it wasn't full automated yet. I don't know what happed after that so its possible that it could happen.

A group of retarded looking monsters will appear and you will take turns hitting each other. When it is all over you will get 648 Gil and a fire ring. Why the 12 foot tall monster with no hands had a fire ring that fits everyone from you to your grandma will still be mystery to man.

They would have to change a lot. I mean you have some songs that are like 7-8 minutes and stuff like Trogdor which is like a minute and a half? It would take a lot of work and I'm not sure if they would even take the effort to bother doing it.

They would have to adjust the song times. There's no way you can sit there and play a 4+ minute song and get more than one song to play at the arcades. That's just thilly~

I think that if they altered the controller design to be more solid, and limited the gameplay to a certain amount of minutes (when you have so many minutes used up you can only play shorter songs) it'd be a hit.

That wouldn't be a great idea, GH in arcades. Mostly because of song timings. But, like the DDR in arcades, if the songs were waay shortened, to like, about 1:30, then that would be cool. but it's only an idea. nothing's gonna basically improve the popularity (if there is any) of GH, or GH2.

It's not too late at all. Konami just does things the other way around.

I think mexicans idea of having an amount of minutes to work with is best, and each song is listed within a certain minutes range, so you wouldn't have extra seconds left over, or if you did, something like an Initial-D card system where it would remember you would make it much more feasible. Making the songs shorter would basically kill the point of the game. It'd be all "yay! My favorite part is coming up!" and then it just ends up that entire part is cut out. A lot of people, including myself, would be unhappy.

As for the controller, it could easily be made more solid for constant use. If you've ever seen a Guitar Freaks arcade controller, they may turn out something like that.

I'd love to see it happen, and I think a few good minds behind the wheel could have all those silly little things solved. It's not impossible by a long shot, but the biggest problem is American arcades. A lot of them don't get games unless they're really popular and even then a lot won't take care to promote games that they've just received and then wonder why it isn't making any money. Given how popular Guitar Hero has been for consoles, I think it would do at least decently well in the arcades.

More solid? Maybe just solid period. The home controllers wouldn't last more than a few days in an arcade. Also, they would definetly have to fix song length and such.. I wouldn't really feel like waiting around for 20 minutes if 1 person was already playing, or up to 40 minutes? If another person was lined up, assuming 3 songs per round. Because paying a dollar to play one song just seems cheap. All the licenced songs in GuitarFreaks are cut down.. and they sound fine.

Leave the arcade guitar games to Guitar Freaks. They know what they're doing

Until then, you could always offer GH2 at pay-by-the-hour gaming places. See Japan for examples (their lounges > ours by 10000x)
