Default Question about GH:WT drum set for PS2/PS3

So, I noticed that the stand alone drum kit is compatible with both PS2 and PS3. Are the drums that are included with the full sets the same? If they are, the PS2 full set + PS3 game is cheaper than the PS3 full set...

Before we go further, is the drum kit even decent in response for you? Anyways, if the PS2 Rock Band drum kit and Stratocaster controller works for the PS3, I can't be sure why the WT Drums on PS2 wouldn't work on the PS3.

It's all USB-based IIRC so I don't see why not.

Doesn't the PS3 set have the Sony Guide button on it though?

I must assume that the PS2 one does not?

I highly doubt that it does, but I wouldn't know for sure. The only GH:WT demo unit we have at work is for PS3.

No, the PS2 one wouldn't have it because there's no need for it. There's no XMB or anything on PS2, so I highly doubt it has one. Though I haven't seen a PS2 set for myself...

Though, suggestion, you may as well buy a standalone RB2 set, and a second pedal (RB2, Harmonix brand) and play with double bass on the RB2 set. Believe me, the WT set is so cheap, it'll break very easily. I've been beating the shit out of my RB2 set since the game came out and it's still working just fine.

Not to mention the pedal(s) take a major beating from me since I drum in real life (Double pedal that is) so I hit them really hard and they're just fine. The WT pedal is the shittiest pedal I've ever seen in my life.

My hope was to mod the WT drums so that they would also work with DrumMania, which also uses 5 pads. I suppose I could build a mesh drum and add it onto the RB set.

Hmm...though I'm sure Drummania is a lot harder than WT and like I said before, the WT drums WILL NOT take a beating. You could try that modding a RB2 set edition, at least it's a better thing to try than using the WT set.
