Default Questions about the GH:WT drums.

I'm wondering about the drums, I'm not sure how much info has actually been released about it, but it's worth a try...
If I get the GH:WT set for the PS2, do you think it will work with GH, RB, and DM?

Has there been any word on whether or not it will use some sort of solder to send a constant signal to the console to say it's a GH set?

I'm sure it will work on both GH and RB, what with Sony making a huge fuss about it. But with DM, if it's not the same button layout, then it will only work with V2, V3, MPS and MPG... If it does send out a constant signal it might be the GH controller malarkey all over again.

Has any info been released about whether or not the cymbals will be "movable" so perhaps I could move the left Cymbal into the right position for DM?

I'm tired for some reason, so sorry for my (probably) terrible wording.

I've kind of assumed that much info hasn't been revealed yet since it's been a while since I posted, but a simple "Dunno" would have been nice.

You know what I mean.

I didn't mean "dunno" specifically...

Instrument Compatibility Matrix v3.21 - Joystiq

unfortunately that won't answer your question as you're a PS2 gamer. I'll say yes to the GHWT and RB2 (not RB1) question, but the odds of any of these drumsets working with DM without any kind of modding is slim at best.

It uses a USB HUB and even needs to connect to the PC to change the sensitivity of the pads with the program being released soon, so either way It'll most likely work with DTXMania...

Does the xbox version use usb also? Then it should work with DTXmania. If someone tried, can they post up results?

I'm pretty sure they all have a USB receiver, otherwise there'd be no way to connect it to the PC to use the program (that should be released on the website some time in the next few weeks) that can change each pad's individual sensitivity...

All my questions have already been answered by other forum posts, so don't worry anymore...

GH=definitely
RB=Yes
DM=Not likely
DTXMania=Most likely
Moving the left cymbal into the right position=No

what do you mean by moving the left cymbal to right? Because you can switch the pads, just not where it is.

I mean rotating the beam that holds the left cymbal in place to be to the left of the snare for Cross-handed play...

I think i read somewhere that all the companies need tp "play nice", and have the peripherals for the other game work on their games as well. So yes, it SHOULD work, assuming this article I read was true.

Yeah... that was only for RR-RB-GH compatibility, Sony never spoke with Konami about Drummania as far as I know...

oh you mean for drummania. I dont think it would. I was thinking MIDI since it was on the controller, but then i realized it was MIDI in... which was sort of odd. And I know those are only on the PS2, and XBOX 360 versions too.

I'm pretty sure the MIDI-IN was so people could use their professional MIDI sets and/or for that computer program being released soon.
