More info on this game.

The game is based on III. The guitar is basically World Tour sans slider. RedOctane is still involved in making the guitars. Raw Thrills being involved was Konami's idea. Owners of the machine can download new songs. They expect the game to appear wherever you can find arcade machines in February.

Oh, and

Now let's hope it isn't just a port of 3's songlist.

Hey guys, been on the road - but thought would drop off some of the images from the launch of GH:

More information if interested.

..."Over 50 songs from one of the best selling video games of all time" means that, yes, it is a port of GH3's songlist. Can you confirm this?

Raw Thrills still did not confirm if it was GHIII, but we get the feeling it is a bit of both.

It seems 25 of these Guitar Hero III AC's were put in pre-production. Some movie theatre in Chicago got their hands on one along with the American Idol Booth.

Interesting that the version on test is still so buggy!

The question has to be how many titles for the release version next month?

I'm still more curious as to WHICH titles. I want to know if this is just a rehash of 3.

Default AM vs. Consumer

The AM version looks to have a streamline interface and operations, with three modes of play (single, 2-player, competition) - the final play list still in the works.

Rumor is that the version of the game is so streamlined that Activision is thinking of using the code that Raw Thrills created in their next version!!!

Well if all they would have to do it slight GUI updates and change the songs I can't imagine why they wouldn't.

Really? I gotta see this, I might be able to get some photos of it as well when I find out which theater.
EDIT: I'm finding out right now it might be the theater near my school.

If you could get photos, songlists, etc that would be fantastic.

Apples to oranges. DDR AC and DDR C/S differs greatly in many ways, whereas it seems like this is a (mostly) ported version of GHCS.

Looks like it's just Guitar Hero III tossed in an arcade cabinet (Look at some of the pictures it has the 6th and 7th tiers from Guitar Hero III with no changes at all)

Which kind of sucks
