Apples to oranges. DDR AC and DDR C/S differs greatly in many ways, whereas it seems like this is a (mostly) ported version of GHCS.

If I could get a good PIU doubles rig for $1,000, I'd do it in a minute. I know several people who feel the same way.
People play Dance machines in arcades for sociability/performance/good equipment. People have nice home stereo systems. If the guitars are way better that might help. The 13 year old theory is a solid one. Whether this will be good or not is yet to be determined. I hope it will be though, because when business does well its a good thing =).

i agree there, i was never hoping business would flop, i hope it doesnt (its just that i think it will) . i guess ill have to wait until i actually see one in action before my opinion starts to sway one way or the other.

It's Guitar Hero 3 with minimal unlocks and no hyperspeed.

The guitars are weighted and have no whammy bars.
All the normal game play stuff works as far as hammer ons and pull offs. Yeah the star power is hit and miss.
The lag is there, but its tolerable like DDRX.
Wish there was hyperspeed cause I suck balls with out it.
The cabinet is flashy, but feels a little cheap. Very little effort required to even tip it.
It's the pre-release from 2/20 so it's probably unfinished as far as the options and maybe some arcade only songs(?).
It's not that bad, but it doesn't change my life.

Oh so the reason why Konami is involved in this is because the cabinet and/or parts/components were manufactured by Konami themselves.

I think it's something along those lines, yeah. Also, I agree with "It's not that bad, but it doesn't change my life." Even if the final product is a lot better, I see no reason to play it beyond showing off.

whoa... Did I read that right... Odyssey Fun World? That is actually quite surprising. Game looks only ok, I am not interested for the sole reason of no hyperspeed. I play on x4 on expert, I mean WTF?
How somebody could need hyperspeed for GH befuddles me. Maybe I just got used to the read speed before it was introduced, but even so, the notes rarely get too close together.
