I don't know its similar to GH Controller though (meaning you have to mod to use properly)
if anyone tried use the RB controller, please share

It's all bullshit. Fuck the bullshit.

I had the game, but brought it back since it has horribly glitchy. It skipped and froze on seven of the forty songs I have played.
Also, you CAN use the GH controller for RB.

Rockband is out for PS2 now, so has anyone tried using the peripherals with GF? Does it have the same drawbacks as using a GH controller? Is it even possible to use it with GF? Etc.

You got my point.
because I know you have to mod GH Controller to play GF properly. (changing buttons, picks etc.)
If RB controller is similar to GH controller, I might want to mod RB controller to play GF.
At least Rb controller is better than GH controller I guess

It wouldn't make a great GF controller anyway, from my limited experience (I am a *terrible* guitar player). It's not really built for hyperpicking.

1. Great game - love the first 10 or so songs I played tonight.
2. The instruments are the same as the PS2 ones, meaning you can upgrade to the ps3 versions with just a new game.
3. The guitar is so so, I don't like the pick - no clicking, not very solid - buttons feel the same - GH controller is better.
4. Guitar and Drums work on pc, tested in DTXmania - work, but not the best tool for the job.
5. Drums are not bad - not Yamaha quality, but ok.

Total Tokens: 5,146.26 Donate Tokens | a guy from RB forums who plays DM (rather well) but doesn't post here already has a few YouTube videos up of him playing DTXMania on the RB kit, using a pillow for the cymbal =)
personally if I was going to play DTXMania on the RB kit, I'd just merge the toms - set one pad to activate both green and red tom.
mod, the thread was actually in the right place, though it wasn't obvious. the OP wanted to know if the PS2 RB guitar controller would work on PS2 GuitarFreaks. And the answer, as I posted, is no.

Total Tokens: 5,146.26 Donate Tokens | You wouldn't miss any notes at default settings, because DM doesn't penalize you for hitting a note when there isn't one on the chart. So it would work fine. It doesn't matter if you hit red+green every time there's only a red or only a green, in DM. With judgment mods (tight or hazard) it does, but not on default.
