Correct. The bundles come out October 19th or 20th or so, I believe.

oh. okay. i read on gamespot that a user said the instruments seperately would only cost 10 dollars more so i figured i'd go for it. thanks for the heads up. | |

They probably meant that in that the Rock Band 2 mic is no different from the original and it's pointless to buy it. Even then, their math is off.

This is kind of irritating; my RB1 instruments are total shit so I was just going to buy the bundle on release day. And while I don't really need a second mic (or a first mic ), the game and a separate guitar and drums are $30 more expensive than the bundle is already.
I'll just have to get the game on release then sell it and buy the bundle when it comes out :/

I have a valid question:
The fabled 20 free DLC songs that are coinciding with the RB2 release:
1) Will they become available on the release of the game in September, or the release of the bundle in October?
2) Will they be free forever, or is it only within a limited time frame that they are free, with them changing to regular price later on?
