i hate the fans of it who say:
"it's like ddr, but for men"
"beatmanis is ripping off it it"
"what's guitar freaks?"
"we'll be releasing Guitar revolution!"

the songlist gets old REALLY fast. even more so, when they raided a classic rock radio station for it.

all the charecters except for the one with long blue hair(i think her name was pandora)

i hate the big deal people make over it. like HOLY FUCK! A TIRED OZZY SONG THAT DOSEN'T HAVE OZZY IN IT!

the original songs. caveman rejoice is so-so, ready2Rokk and cheat on the church are the only good 2. the rest is a gloppy pool of shit.

take me out

no machiane supremacy, or any other chance of a good band making it into 2

how G4 faps over it al day(like they actually know shit about games.)

the price. 60, maybe

the whole "indy high school rocker" theme. they might as well included razor blades and a shirt that smells like pot+ass in every box.

Yeah hammer-ons and pull-offs suck in GH. Apparently it was fixed in GH2, or they're "easier to do" or whatnot.

I'll believe it when I can do them.

Cheat On The Church was a great pick. They deserved to win that contest.

I dislike Guitar Hero because it's too american for me. Plus I can only get about halfway through Hard. I prefer japanese games.

I think the controller is nicely made, and its not that bad of a rip off. I give them alot of respect for trying... Plus aren't alot of people buying Guitar Hero? I think 70$ is outrageous...

Uhh... Interface isn't great, butchering songs I like (WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BAD RELIGION), covering songs poorly that were bad in the first place, the judgement system, people that are elitest about it... It's a good game for the mainstream audience, but it's nothing to get z0mg hardcore about.

I hate that little riff on the yellow fret. That thing just pissed me off.

Other than that i hate playing at best buys becuase when i play i always get college burnouts watching me nodding their head. It's just as bad as playing ddr and having like a whole senior citizen center watch you.

Texas Flood.

Don't get me wrong, the song is well done and I love SRV. But, I've 5-stared Bark at the Moon Expert, about 3000 points from getting Cowboys from Hell expert, and yet I'm still 50,000 points from getting Texas Flood expert. Hell, I can't 5-star the damn song on Hard either.

The lack of training mode in gh1 was the only real thing that pissed me off about it, but at least it's coming in gh2.

as for the not using official songs thing, well, also consider that many of the artists are no longer living, or that some of the groups are broken up and no longer performing due to numerous reasons.

I love the fact that now [in Guitar Hero II] you'll be able to choose your own difficulty in versus... and there'll actually be a true versus mode with the same single chart on both sides. Great stuff.

THE MUSIC! I fucking HATE Ozzy Osbourne, and all that other old metal shit. I only like Take It Off, Thunderkiss '65, and Ready2rokk (Freezepop ^_^). Id like to see more music that doesnt take itself so damn seriously. Hopefully GH2 wont have music I hear old, fat, bald, drunk guys singing all the time. They need some more female friendly songs as well.

...That’s kinda the entire point to the game? Rocking out to real rock and metal, back when the bands could actually play their instruments. Almost everyone agrees that the few new rock songs are the worst songs in the game. Granted I like Stellar. Obviously the unlicensed songs were added to create a balance, but as you can tell they are still primarily rock and metal. I think it’s more of your taste in music conflicting with what the game tries to be, rather then GH having a bad songlist. You have a Manson banner in your sig, and you don't like metal?

I dunno if the songs are "Female Friendly" or not, but most people, who are over 20, have heard almost all of these songs. Harmonix realized that when you make an American music game, its helps to have recognizable songs. Seriously its a game with a guitar. What music would fit your tastes that would work with a guitar?

the "GH is a rip-off of Beatmania" thing really IS annoying. i was playing BM in a best buy one day and there was a GH playable demo right behind me. i attracted a crowd even though i was playing beginner (i kinda suck at IIDX at the moment lol) and some high school kids were talkin crap about me just because i was playing BM. after a while hearing "that game freakin sucks, it's a total rip of GH" i wanted to rip off their head. IMO, IIDX is harder than GH. GH has 4 buttons, while IIDX has 7+a turn table. yes, i know they're completely two diffrent games but cmon people, stop the BS about what music sim is better than what. i would play GH but i'm broke and can't buy the bundle...maybe i'll wait for GH2.

The characters. It looks just like Karaoke Revolution, just with guitars.

I haven't encountered it yet, but I'm certain that people will start claiming that Konami rips off Harmonix with Guitar Freaks / Guitar Revolution. It doesn't help the the only GF machines in the US are not only from the Japanese version, but most of them are older games.

If Konami decides to release GF/GR here, the game must be overhauled to compete in the mainstream market.
