Ok, so I've passed it for my 4th time today !!

Anyway I was trying to get feedback, I cheated the first 2 times I played it. 1 time I used a rubberband for the green fret, technically is that considered cheating? Because a real guitar has those bars to hold down a certain fret, and etc, I dunno what it's called, but yeah, I snapped it off after the intro. But I did cheat having someone else strum the intro. I finally got used to tapping the intro, but I can only do it sometimes, and only when using my elbow to hit the first red fret. Meh, anyway it's an accomplishment none-the-less, but whats the feedback?

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, and if you do the elbow thing for the first note and tap the whole thing, well, that's what a lot of the top level players do, so no issue there as well.

I think getting your friend to strum the intro for you is the only cheating part. I haven't done it yet and I have even tried with an elastic band.

I'm not a fan of GH3 though as it's too forgiving than GH2.

If you were able to snap the rubberband off right after the intro without failing then its pretty impressive too...

Me, I can't even get 1% on Through the fire and Flames....I can pass it on hard mode though.
As for the if the the rubber band would equal cheating part, I'm on the wall on this one(meaning I'm not sure at this moment)

My friend is actually one of the top on the leader boards on score hero and xbox (I don't know his user name on them, but I think it might be Z3roLiability or something like that). He usually doesn't tap during it, but from watching him I would recommend going to practice and practicing just tapping certain parts of the song.

Eventually you should learn to tap the beginning or learn to do it completely by yourself without the help of a rubber band or a friend

the very first time I passed this song I had my brother hold down the green note while i played the beginning and then he let go after the intro....I can completely play the song by myself now tho and I really think its a learning process so theres nothing wrong or really "cheating" in using a rubber band or a friend you just half to learn how to wean yourself off of it

I wonder if this is the same bot that they tried to get to play Jordan. It was able to play some of the notes but it just wasn't able to FC the dang thing.

I doubt it. If it can FC the "red snake" part (the 32nds near the end, at 6:39 in the video) it would have no issue with jordan.

In tournaments, it's likely that you would be disqualified for the rubber band or having a friend strum, depending on how strict the tourney is. It's still a great job if you can pass the song.

i would hope that TtFaF would be banned from tournaments due to its stupidity.

I would also think that anyone seriously playing TTFAF in a tournament wouldn't need a friend to strum or a rubber band to hold down the green.

I HIGHLY doubt any tourney would keep that song out just because it's hard.
