The only song I've ever heard a rock version of was the Dr. W Castle Stage 1 & 2. (from The Power Battles, BTW)

And that MM "Techno" tune, is unofficial, I believe. But let's not divulge into THAT

Every game has a different opening theme song, title screen theme song, etc and etc.

It seems feasible. Alot of you may not know this, but John Tam (the game's producer) used to work for Capcom. I'm sure he still has alot of friends there, so I don't think it'd be too hard for them to get the rights to use a cover of any Capcom music.

I have to admit, I honestly thought it was the theme song to the TV show at first. That would certainly be something to play... If it's the Wily Castle stage music from MM2 though, then that is beyond cool.

Seriously doubtful. Guitar Heroes is aimed more at a specific audience. Mostly people listening to American metal and rock in the 1980 for the most part. If they put on Mega Man theme but didn't get an Iced Earth song I'd be TOTALLY peeved. I love Mega Man but not enough to miss out on Iced Earth. Those guys RULE. They have such awesome music and some awesome solos.

Stratovarius I also would love to see but since it's Progressive Metal I doubt it would be there (even though Iced Earth is Progressive Metal too)

Problem with Iced Earth is finding a realistic sounding Matt Barlow (a long running band member recently left the band to pursue a career in justice since 9/11) cause he and Jon Schaefer have some nice ranges and sounds.

Unlike myself, not many people liked "Farewell Myth" by Made In Mexico. Not really your classic "rock" tune. Guitar Hero featured tracks from the '80s, but not only the '80s. =P

I'm sure "Mega Man theme" won't be "8-bit" and would sound very well done as a rock song.

The song was done for an art show opening; in back of the gallery there were tvs setup with the 2 song GH (other song was Ikari Warriors by Artillery) and Street Fighter II. I played both songs, they had the full range of difficulty choices and seemed as complete as any other GH song.

If Capcom allowed RedOctane/Harmonix to put this together for the art show, it's not a great stretch to think they'd let them use the song(s) in GH2.

The least they could have done was got a GOOD song to cover for the game.
