Default Wireless Guitars on PS2

So, I have the Rock Band set for Playstation 2 with wireless guitars, drums, and mic. I plug everything into the USB hub, and plug the hub in. The drums and mic work perfectly, neither guitar works at all. I plug it all in, turn on the PS2, hit the button on the receiver, hit the little white button on the guitar, and nothing happens. The little light on the receiver just keeps blinking and neither guitar will connect. Is there some trick I'm missing or something? Thanks.

Did you turn the guitars on? Are the batteries working in the guitars?

When my guitar is off, the reciever blinks like you described.

I've installed fresh batteries and turned the power switches on, makes no difference. Does the little Playstation button light up when the guitar is on? Is there any light indicating the guitar is on? One of them came with the bundle and the other was purchased online more than a month after release. There's no way they could both be defective.

yea, there's a light indicating that the guitars are connected; a red ring around the PS Button. i doubt they're defective. try connecting one guitar at a time as well as connecting them without the USB hub and straight into the PS2.

Also make sure you don't have your PS2 near anything that could cause interference. I lost connectivity on my 360 for two weeks because of a little electrodisc light.
