11 and 12 star Oni?

With all these new songs coming out that are gradually becoming insanely difficult to pass and full combo, plus the fact that there is hidden oni now, I think it is about time Namco added more stars to their difficulty rating.

Plus, some other music games have level 11/12/higher. But I'm only sticking to 12 at max, since no song in this game is TRULY impossible (I have seen a FC of Rotter Tarmination hidden oni on Youtube).

Here are some songs that I think deserve the higher difficulty levels:

Rotter Tarmination hidden oni - 12 stars
燎原ノ舞 - 12 stars
DON'T CUT hidden oni - 11 stars
きたさいたま２０００ - 12 stars
Ｘ－ＤＡＹ２０００ - 11 stars
Kamikaze Remix - 11 stars
やわらか戦車 hidden oni- 11 stars
はたラク2000 - 12 stars
旋風ノ舞 (AC ver.) - 11 stars

(Oh, and by the way, all hidden kantan, futsuu, and muzukashii should be 1 star higher than they are, so there would be 6 star kantan, 8 star futsuu, and 9 star muzukashii.)

So, what do you think? Which 10 star songs do you think are harder than 10 stars, and what difficulty should they deserve?

nah....

rotter and 燎原 should be 11 stars,
all other should stay at 10. Don't Cut is the EASIEST song of 10 stars in my opinion.

When comparing Kita, XDay to the suggested 11 stars, they are a lot easier. All you gotta do is memorize the gogotime, and you at least get a full bar.

Hm, but what's about Angel Dream (Ura)? Isn't easy after all. Well Master Note. And はたラク2000 is madness.

練習曲 Op.10-4 should be 10x because it's not that hard. I haven't FC it yet, but have not more than 20 miss. EkiBEN 2000 11x? No, it's easy (2 miss with Color Change)

Angel Dream on hidden oni isn't REALLY hard... in fact, the only hard part is the end part. There's no long strings of notes on this song.

For 燎原ノ舞, I don't even know how those people manage to read and perform all those notes at go-go time, plus the fact that it has the FASTEST bpm... that's why I put 12 star.

For Rotter tarmination, there are hardly ANY rests, the notes are complicated, and the notes are basically unreadable at the end.

Haven't played はたラク2000 so I'm not sure about this one.

And for the 2000 songs, here's why I gave them that rating:
1) They all have a very fast bpm
2) Sure, the notes are memorizable, but when it comes to actually PERFORMING the notes...
3) They're 2000 songs. Obviously they're supposed to be challenging.

Also, I said 12 stars, because it sounds kinda weird if it just ends at 11.

I'll probably look over at my list again.

And I forgot to add this. How about やわらか戦車 hidden oni? I saw some guy playing this at an arcade once, and it looks really tough... I mean, 2 strings of 350 notes without any rests? O_O

戦車 has a very obvious pattern, not too hard to catch... all RRRRBBBB, RRBB, RRRBRRRB, and vice verca.

The new 2000 deserves a 11, cuz the very end is like 300 bpm.

やわらか戦車 (Ura) is easy if you watch correctly ^^ but stamaina drain...
Well in the end of Rotter (Ura) it begins with 2x speed, then 3x speed (if i'm not wrong). You should be at least able to read the 2x speed.
Oh and はたラク2000 you don't want to know it XDD
燎原ノ舞 is really hard. But I can pass it. The long notes are too hard for me to read it yet...

I just played はたラク2000 and it is DEFINITELY one of the most difficult songs.

It may not be as fast as you described (what were you talking about, Jonahkwok? 300 BPM? ) but the notes are still very hard to master, especially the go-go time notes. (I still can't pass this due to them...)

はたラク2000 is just madness (too bad that i can't play it ... played it only on osu!taiko), the end is just... yuck But some people already FC it, so... should be it at least 12 Star Oni (I rated it before as a 13+ Oni xD). I just wonder, if there would be much harder song coming in the next Taiko Acrade.

I can't help it, but WOOT!!!!! I passed Hataraku 2000!

And yeah, hope the next arcade release has the next "Kitasaitama 2000". By then they should have officially announced an extra star rating or two. :P
