Marketplace Rating: 0 | Codes for Taiko no Tatsujin I took these from someone's post in the big thread. If anyone knows of any more, go ahead and reply. All these codes are entered as your name on the name screen. One slot per code. To know if the code works, you will hear a flag sound.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following codes work on all Taiko PS2 releases past Taiko 4.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ますたぁ
(Masutaa) Make the notes dissapear and you will have to read the kanji below the notes to know what to hit (either don or kat).
For Taiko 4, you get 99,999 Taiko Points.
If you cant read the hiragana, here is the sequence you need to enter it as (from left to right on the symbols on the Name Select screen): 7-1, 3-3-1, 4-1-1, 1-1-2
Make sure you use the SMALL A. If you are confused on what these numbers are:
For example: 7-1, 3-3-1, 4-1-1, 1-1-2
Means you go choose the 7th symbol from the left and hit the drum, then hit the drum again when the 2nd set of hiragana appears (for the 1 after the 7). For 3-3-1, choose the 3rd symbol from the left and hit the drum, then choose the 3rd symbol from the left when the 2nd set of hiragana appears, then choose the 1st symbol on the 3rd set that appears below the 2nd set. Understand?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following codes work on all Taiko PS2 releases past Taiko 5.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- たいこの
たつじん
(Taiko no) (Tatsujin) Enter this (Taiko No) as your name and RENAME IT to this (Tatsujin) in a new name slot to gain "99,999 Taiko Points".
Hiragana Sequence (from left to right on the symbols on the Name Select screen): Taiko No: 4-1-1, 1-2-1, 2-5-1, 5-5
Tatsujin: 4-1-1, 4-3-1, 3-2-2, 10-5
Just play one song after doing this process to get 99,999.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following codes work on all Taiko PS2 releases past Taiko 6.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ばいそく
(Baisoku) It will increase the speed of the notes scrolling by 2x.
Hiragana Sequence (from left to right on the symbols on the Name Select screen): 6-1-2, 1-2-1, 3-5-1, 2-3-1
----------------------------- さんばい
(Sanbai) It will increase the speed of the notes scrolling by 3x.
Hiragana Sequence (from left to right on the symbols on the Name Select screen): 3-1-1, 10-5, 6-1-2, 1-2-1
----------------------------- よんばい
(Yonbai) It will increase the speed of the notes scrolling by 4x.
Hiragana Sequence (from left to right on the symbols on the Name Select screen): 8-3-1, 10-5, 6-1-2, 1-2-1
----------------------------- かんぺき
(Kanpeki) If you miss a note, you fail (SUDDEN DEATH).

For example:
7-1, 3-3-1, 4-1-1, 1-1-2
Mean you go choose the 7th symbol from the left and hit the drum, then hit the drum again when the 2nd set of hiragana appears (for the 1 after the 7). for 3-3-1, choose the 3rd symbol from the left and hit the drum, then choose the 3rd symbol from the left when the 2nd set of hiragana appears, then choose the 1st symbol on the 3rd set that appears below the 2nd set. EDIT: Added this info in the first post.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | -Arcade-
Taiko 7
-Master Mode (Unable to see the red and blue notes)-
1) Hit the right edge of the drum till you reach the "Muzukashii" (Hard) level.
2) Hit the right edge of the drum 10 times to get to "Oni" level.
3) Hit the left edge of the drum till you get to "Kantan" (Easy) level.
4) Hit the left edge of the drum 10x and the background will change to night and Don will change into his Samurai outfit, indicating Master mode.
Taiko 8 and 9
-Baisoku mode and others.-
1) Repeat steps above
2) Now there are several modes to choose from when you hit the edge of the drum.
ますたぁ (Masutaa mode) - Master mode, same as above.
ばいそく (Baisoku mode) - 2x speed
さんばい (Sanbai mode) - 3x speed
よんばい (Yonbai mode) - 4x speed
かんぺき (Kanpeki mode) - Perfect mode, miss and you'll fail.
3) After going through all those modes, you can actually revert back to the normal mode by hitting the edge of the drum again. Don will remove his Samurai outfit.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | i would like to explain the 99999 points in detail.. so hopefully there wouldn't be another idiot like me wasting time trying to figure out..
- enter たいこの as your name, if you do it right you should hear a sound upon saving.
- go back to name selection, highlight your newly-created name, press start and it would bring up a menu.
- select the second option from the right, which is to rename your name.
enter たつじん. if you do it right, you will hear a trumpet sound.
- play any song, upon completion, your points would show 99999 and your rank would instantly jump to 太鼓人
all the unlock message for sounds and new song would appear, as well as oni mode.
here is something odd..
when you have 99999 points, the unlock message would appear one by one. when you unlock a new song, you would have to play the new song, after that it would continue to unlock, another new song, you have to play the new song, and it goes on and on until everything is unlocked.. so this lasts for about 10mins, i have not tried to cancel the song and see what happens.
i have only tried it on taiko 5. | |
