Marketplace Rating: 0 | Found an AWESOME taiko sim. need help though. Okay so I found this taiko simulator that i thought id share.
heres a video of it: YouTube - God knows
kay so as you can see it has complete graphics and what not..
okay
thing is, the site is in complete japanese and Im not entirely sure how to use this
what i have figured out so far:
you download the simulator here: É÷¤Î¿á¤¯¤Þ¤Þ¤Ë
okay when you get there see at the top you see a thin rectangle showing the simulator? click download, ull go to another page.
the files BELOW THAT DOWNLOAD LINK are the sim files so get this first.
okay if you CANNOT see japanese letters, regardless, you should see a grey rectangle with the letters He 247188.zip to download. Okay download that, extract it, you now have something known as taikojiro. okay so taiko jiro.exe wont do you any good until we get some sims so read further for more instructions.
then you download the songs here (click the download buttons extrac the .tja and drop it into the SAMPLE folder in the FILE from TaikoJiro)
but then it jus plays the rhythm no graphics no song..
so i noticed other updates on the site ..i wonder if each time he showed an image of what looked like the simulator graphics...that u had to downlolad those to add to yours?
im not sure ?
i dont know how to navigate this site..
if anyone can figure itout please share it here? thanks :d
okay..to navigate that site
go back to É÷¤Î¿á¤¯¤Þ¤Þ¤Ë
and notice at the very bottom of his posts, theres either 1 word in japanese or 2?
the one on the left (if there is two showing up) i think that takes you to newer posts, the one on the right = older posts which have music and other updates like graphics for idolmaster girls..the explosion for when you perfect time your hits etc.
so if anyone figures out how to put this sim together please let me know? thanks :d
OH FOUND OT HOW TO PLAY IT....
okay push F1 in the sim it should say "auto play off" or on you can toggle this
hit space bar to find ur song
click enter
then itll load
clcik space bar to start when itsays
your keys are
RED = F & J
BLUE = D & K
hope this helps nayone
now about the music..
O_o

Marketplace Rating: 1 | look at the links from other users on that site, there should be a bunch of simfile that contain the .ogg format.
Roughly, a simfile that is 4+ megs = simfile + music.ogg .
I am almost done lining up the images for the emulator, in programming terms, its a matter of understanding "ascii location" (oh joy of joys ).
Update: I am 85% done, the reason being is because I found a taiko skin off of one of the other sites (which was linked from the TaikoJiro site). Anyway, two more things to update.
Note: This will have a 640x480 window, because if I go higher, it will lag. Don't ask me why, I am not the one who programmed it .
Stay tuned.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | *rises back from the dead* I will also post a tutorial on how to assign your keyboard keys, to a controller.
So far, I managed to speak with the creator of taikojiro and he told me what I was missing for the combo indicator.
Long story short, I have a working combo system for taikojiro, thanks to AlterGS. So props go to both Sacherz for disocering this AWESOME simulator and to AlterGS for creating it.
I will post the link before I go to sleep tonight.
Oyasuminasai everyone.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | ok guys and gals, here are some simfiles that I have resynched and remapped etc..: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
Here is my version of Taikojiro, I had to speak a bit of japanese to teh creator, he told me what to do, and I manged to have a "presentable" taiko appearcnce : the resolution is in a 640x480 window.
1) Download Taikojiro from here (the japanese locale right-click option is included): MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
2) Extract Taikojiro to a new folder.
3) Install MS Applocale and enable Japanese-fonts.
4) Within the taikojiro folder, there is a file called "japaneselocalecontext.zip", extract that to anywhere on your hard drive and install the registry value ([ADD]), you can also remove this if you do not want it .
5) Once that is installed, right click on TaikoJiro.exe and there should be an option entitled "Local Japanese", left-click on that and you should be able to see the titles of the songs.
6) However, if this freezes, then that means that there are NO simfiles created, go get some and be sure to extract it UNDER teh folder entitled "SAMPLE" (you can also rename this).
Once again, all credit goes to Sacherz, I take no credit for what I did here. It was really REALLY easy in finding the simfiles: Just look at the site that Sacherz posted, CAREFULLY examine the title of the song and do a comparison using youtube and nicovideo. How to download and convert youtube videos, thats for you guys to figure out .
Enjoy .
Up next, I will post a tutorial on how to syncronize the simfiles.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | How to play with Taikojiro's simfiles When downloading a .tja file, you are wondering "WTF do I do here?, what does TJA even stand for". TJA = TaikoJiro file Association (well Associan but thats besides the point).
If you cannot see the titles clearly, my suggestion is to use MS Word and enable Japanes font witnin your regional and settings program under Control Panel. Or, you can download a cool program called NJstar, I dont care how you get it, but its useful in case if you want to read the titles and such.
But for the sake of easiness, lets get started with re-synching the songs here:
1) Go to your favorite song folder and open your .tja file with Notepad.
2) Now that it is opened, you will see a bunch of options:
#title
#offset
#wave (this can be set to .ogg, use that, it performs alot faster and resudes lag for some odd reason). Now, edit the value's offset to either a postive (-) or a negative (+) value.
3) Click on SAVE, NOT SAVE-AS, othersise it will be recognized as a .txt file...dont ask me why.
Note: When saving the file, you can still ahve taiko jiro running and you will not ahve to close it and reload it numerious times, whcih is good.
4) Enjoy .

Marketplace Rating: 1 | Where to find taikojiro simfiles, both possibly and impossibly. lol if impossibly is even a word to begin with, I R rusty with englishz0rz.
Go to the site that Sacherz mentioned ( É÷¤Î¿á¤¯¤Þ¤Þ¤Ë its the 3rd link after the word "English", look at the *Starred* songs, these are levels AND they provide youtube videos for the songs as well.
1) Download the .tja file and save it to the EXACT name of the zip folder (but dont use _'s either, thats just common sense).
2) While downloading, look at the song, copy the title and try to find the mp3 from the following site: nicomimi -????- ??????mp3??????
If it matches the time-length, download it and convert it to .ogg, you may have to edit the name of the #title within the .tja file as well as the #wave.
3) Follow my previous thread on how to syncronize songs (in case if you have trouble): http://www.bemanistyle.com/forum/f13...imfiles-49924/
Here are a bunch of songs that are not completely resynched, due the fact that I do not have time, I am sure some of you are nice enough to help one another out by resynching: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
Enjoy .

Marketplace Rating: 0 | So apparently, thanks to dewanakatta/flyboy, we have a package accessible to English speakers. Sound effects, Watadon models, dancers all work, and then some synched .tja files as well. The way of the Taiko
I very much appreciate this.
