Problems with my drum

Hi, today i received my taiko drum, and man, the game is cool but the controller is very strange. I hit and not every time i get the point. Is like touching the drum and nothing happens on the screen. Dont no if this happens to everyone. The fact is that when i push my finger like kicking the drum it works, but not with the sticks. Is there any way i can make it more sensible?

It could be sometimes you are hitting the middle of the drum, where the sensors split, and if that happens then you won't hit either sensor and it won't register the hit.

However it could also be that you just need some time to get used to using it, I found at first I needed to break it in a little bit, and just get used to hitting it harder than I thought I would need to.

Just don't hit it hard in the center.

yea if its not reading the sticks then your either not hitting it hard enough or your hitting it in the center, the sensors are on the left half and right half and usually dont read the center

Yep, just get into whatever song your playing and youll be cruising along like normal. And whack it pretty hard, just not so hard you break anything.

Pretty simple logic, but itll get easier.
