Seems that the Dojo stops at Tenjiku2000 Oni or Gensou Sokkyou Kyoku Oni. Can't advance any further after that (I got the Tatsujin rank)

I can't perfect those songs yet, maybe sonmething new will occur if I can perfect those songs?

That's where I am stuck at also. I can pass the classical song in the dojo and nothing happens. I'm not sure if there are 6 songs max to unlock or not (I got a few mails with songs I havent seen, like "JUST DON IT").

Are avatar unlocks in this game random? What are some of the ways you guys are unlocking stuff?

I think some are time-based, and some are achievement based. You get letters saying you have to get a certain requirement on a certain song on a certain difficulty (Like you have to Full-combo KAGEKIYO Oni for an avatar item, but only after you get the letter that says so.) I do not have a full list, but I have a partial list from a guy at GameFAQS:

Easy
Anpanman March - Clear with 50,000 points - Snorkel
Together - Clear with 20+ combo - Heart Outfit
Doraemon - Clear with 70,000 points - Dress
Gekiranger - Clear with 40+ combo - Princess Hairdo
Precure5 - Clear with 30+ Good hits - Tiger Set

Hard
Conan Main Theme - Clear with 300,000 points - Sheep Set
Tarako - Clear with 50+ combo - Chicken Set
Super Mario Bros. - Clear with 350,000 points - Monkey Set
7th Symphony - Clear with 180+ Good hits - Snake Set
Morinokumasan - Clear on Super Fast option - Wild Pig Set
Kimi ni Touch - Clear with 420,000 points - Cow Set

Remember, you can only do these once you get the letter that says you can.

I did notice the achievement based ones, and I was actually wondering about the "time based" ones. But, somebody on Gamefaqs posted pretty much the same exact order of stuff that I got the ones I have so far (around 10 or 11) from that, so I'm guessing it's not random.

Are there any songs to unlock after the Gekiranger Oni rank in Dojo mode? I can't beat it, but if there's no songs and just sounds, then I'll just play regular mode until I'm good enough to get through the song without trying to rush through it.

I don't remember if there were any song unlocks after that. I'm still waiting for this site to get updated with some new information... They are still lacking a few songs in the list, and the unlock system. Then again, the game just came out.

Some board?: Clear William Tell Overture hard with 200 hit combo
Blue and red suit: Clear Mojipittan Medley (もじぴったんメドレー) with 200 hit combo
Angel suit: Clear Won't Be Long with "Yonbai" よんばい　(x4) speed

Oni
2000 suit: Clear Tenjiku2000 with 555 "Great" (yellow) hits
???: Clear 熊蜂の飛行 (Flight of the Bumblebee) in "Sanbai" さんばい　(x3) speed <- I haven't cleared this
Old man's face: Clear "Heaven and Hell overture" (天国と地獄　序曲) with 300 hit combo or more
The Nanadaime Taiko Drum Master set: Clear GO MY WAY!!! with 400 "Great" (yellow hits) or more
Ebi suit: Clear Fuun! Master Branchio (風雲！バチお先生) With 800k points or more

When you beat Tenjiku2000, you get 4 letters in your mail. One is another challenge letter telling you to get 555 combo on Tenjiku2000. The other 3 are the Credits to the game, with the last one unlocking an avatar item (a gold crown).

Hmm...that's weird... I never got a crown upon completing Tenjiku2000 Oni.

I got a suit that says "2000" on it. Weird. I never got any credits, either

Maybe you get it when you beat all the Oni songs, I'm not sure.
