On Taiko no Tatsujin and voice clips

My brother Razer was thinking of importing one or two Taiko no Tatsujin games in the future, but wants to know if it's possible to turn off the voice clips during gameplay (i.e. "100 combo", etc.). Is there?

There is, but that's all tied together with the rest of the sound effects like the drums. It's basically a slider where one is for the music, and the other is for Voices and Sound Effects. You would just move the slider towards the music. Granted, they're not as annoying or grating as the US voice-overs.

Yeah, they don't bother me at all. The US voices scare me though...

I actually don't mind the voices myself, but my brother refuses to play the game with them on. Thanks for the information.

When you choosed your song : "Now let's play this song!"
Difficulty : "Select a difficulty level."
When you choosed your difficulty : "<Difficulty> selected!"
"Saa hajimaru don" : "Now, let's begin!"

And the voices are so roboticand ugly. OMG!!!

They aren't as bad as the old PS2 Taiko voices, where it seemed like they didn't really care.
