1) Load TnTP2 in your PSP
2) On the Main Menu after selecting your name, click the last option on the right (Game Options selection)
3) Select the farthest left option of that screen.
4) Select the option that begins with "PSP" (the second from the right).
5) Select Yes 3 times (the left option).
6) The PSP will delay a bit as it loads the Web Browser, it should connect to the internet to whichever hotspot you have set up.
7) Once the site loads, select the Red option.
8) Scroll past the agreement and click the Left option
9) Scroll down to a song and select it.
10) Click and download both the Don AND Kat files. (DON file is music, KAT file is the notechart)
11) Once you download the DON and KAT files for the song, hit the L shoulder button to go back and download the rest of the songs.
12) Once done, you can hit X then O to close the web browser, and TnTP2 will restart, also loading your songs.
Make sure you have enough space on your memory card for these songs.

This means that from the song "Samurai" and onward, you'd have to get that update to play them. This does not affect the older songs, which are still playable on older firmware versions.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | As of 5/8/2007, Bandai Namco has posted indications of Taiko no Tatsujin Portable 3.
There will not be anymore new downloads for Taiko no Tatsujin Portable 2 after Taberuna2000 and Nocturne Opus 9-2.

1) If this you have never downloaded the songs, after you chose your profile, go to ゲーム設定>ダウンロード>ダウンロードの準備. This allows the download song folder to show up in the PSP game save directory.
2) Make sure you have room for the downloadable songs before getting them. Put your PSP in USB mode or just put the Memory Stick Pro Duo into a card reader if you have one (use the Duo to regular memory stick adapter if necessary)
3) If you use windows, your PSP/card reader should recognize it as a removable disc. Once you go the directory of the PSP/memory card, go to PSP>SAVEDATA>PPCD00765_TAIKO2_DL
This is where your songs has to be in order for them to work. Do not quit the USB mode or take your memory card mode at this point. If you don't see the folder "PPCD00765_TAIKO2_DL" that means you didn't do step 1.
4) Click the download.htm icon (that's the only hyperlink in the folder). It'll take you to the download page
5) Click the "さぁ!ダウンロード". You should be able to see the song list. If not, you're at the wrong place.
6) Click the song you want. You must download both the .DON and .KAT files for the song to work. With the exception of two songs marked in blue, they're actually two "new" title screens. The .DON and .KAT files has to be downloaded also for the title screen to work. You can download to anywhere you wish, then put it in (whatever your drive letter is):/PSP/SAVEDATA/PPCD00765_TAIKO2_DL
7) Start the game. As it's starting up, it'll check the amount of download songs. The game will tell you how many songs are there at the end of check.
If you want to play the download songs with a different PSP, you must repeat the process if you wish to play on a different PSP. Except you just need to remove all the songs and click the download.htm icon again to download the songs again.
I hope this isn't too wordy
