Default Do you think there will be a CS jubeat?

Personally, I don't see how it could work, because there's just no way to play it on a standard controller, and an ASC would be ridiculously expensive.

I could see a watered-down version for DS, but it wouldn't be the same.

I guess they could come out with a PC version to be played with a touchscreen, although most people don't have a touchscreen and would have to play with their mouse, which would make the game about 50 times harder.

No. Same reason as with DanceManiaX. Konami won't try to produce something that expensive.

PPP just involved plopping sensors on the floor. DMX would involve somehow propping them up in the air.

Well yeah.

I couldn't see how they could implement some kind of sensor technology on a smaller scale (plus the sensor layout of DMX itself).

So yeah........it'd be lucky if hits the DS (although downscaled).

P.S.
Though I also wish that if they release it on DS lite, they also release it on Iphone/Ipod Touch hehe

If it's popular enough, they'll find a way, probably a PC version with some $500 peripheral.

I understand that the touch screen tech is generally expensive.

But

To ask for 500 dollars (is that in USD$???) just for a peripheral alone seems like a bad move in my book.

In that case, with that kind of amount, you'd rather buy an Ipod or Ipod Touch that can already play this game (if it ever gets released in the near future) plus more.

----------

Again these are just my two cents

It COULD work. Just make a controller in the same grid, but put the notes on tv, although that would make CS harder as it requires memorizing the grid.

I dunno, I mean look at how my people pay for IIDX, DDR and POP'n controllers these days. Fuck, I forked out 420NZ not long ago for an FP7.

You're in the minority though.

Hence the reason they made one batch of DDR ASCs and that's it.

16 buttons all with screens on them?

Of course they could be upwards of $500

(although keep in mind I'm talking AUD)

I see I see

Still that would be around 400+ in American dollars (using today's exchange rates)

XE - Universal Currency Converter

Of course, taxes and surcharges may vary between countries.

Though yeah, it's pretty much the general average cost of releasing a costly peripheral for this type of game.

Honestly, I think the most reasonable choice would be to just release it to smartphones and UMPCs that have touchscreens. It not like the sound quality would be massively (if at all) worse (for Christ's sake, we're not talking about the N-Gage here, people) than it would be on, say, PC or CS.

I can see this being heaps fun on an iPhone/iPod touch.

Agreed.

And I think that even if they charged this at 10 American dollars per download (via the App Store), I'd still think that this would be a hit.

Provided first that they release the arcade version first b4 doing this.

It'd have to be scaled down to like 2x2 or 3x3 though because I just can't see cramming 16 buttons onto that tiny screen
