I wonder if the tournament will be broadcasted.

How many people go into the finals? Like 2 per country?

If Top Ranker 2008 Asian division was of any indication, then there would be people who would record the action on their video camera, phones and recording devices (so that we would have footage). And as mentioned, they would be given free round trip airfare and accommodation to Hong Kong and back. However, in regards to the number of people per country, now that is one thing that I don't know as of yet unfortunately

Ah, so probably nothing official then.

I hope some people would upload a full version, because I watched Y.S-Y's local tournament videos and they were heavily edited (anything short of EXCELLENT were pretty much out).

Lolz

Well in any case, if videos come out, then you can expect that there won't be any sort of editing like that :P

There are words that the Asian Championship might be played with Ripples. Would be interesting for sure, but not confirmed.

Well doesn't look like they'll use Ripples for the tournament.
But according to one of the participants of the finals the itinerary includes Ripples showcase. So the machine must be present at the tournament regardless.

The finals in Hong Kong will start in a few more hours. I guess we'll know and get some info from then on

EDIT:
Here were the two people who emerged from the Singapore Semi Final event at AMK Hub in Ang Mo Kio

They along with others will be competing later in the finals to be held at the Konami Asia Private Show 2009 in HK
