From the pics and videos alone, I already feel that it has a chance to succeed.
Granted, it seems that the there is NO mode for competing against or playing with another machine(s) within the same store..........unless it's connected to e-amuse.
I was kinda hoping though that they'd use some kind of basic lan/network connection to allow for local play involving more than one cabinet.
Perhaps to given an illustration:
Probably it would be like X360's system link (where you can one X360 console with another via Lan connection). You don't have to connect both to the internet (XBL in that case) just to allow for play interaction between one machine and another (or others).
Maybe Konami can take note of this feature in future versions of the game.

I played with my friend. I was on one machine and he was on another. It was synced. No e-amuse. I am sure it was lan because "Boomers" showed up as our names. | |

And this game looks confusing, at least from the videos I saw.

Though in terms of space and weight, this thing poses of no problem at all.
This also helps in establishments who are concerned regarding shipping charges and fees (which are usually charged by weight).
----------------------------
Also
More places need e-amuse this time around (I think everyone agrees with that).

The factor here might be the cost/replaceability of the keys... | |

So in short, it means that the components (in this regard) are not as expensive or as difficult/nightmarish to maintain (as previously thought).
I just hope that the price for brand new cabinet is at least the same (if not lower) than lets say the prices for brand new GFDM cabs.
Hopefully that would be so.

What are you talking about?
The location test for this thing is done.
So unless there will be more location tests announced, this thing won't reappear (unless they release the final version itself......which I hope they will do )
