not with position info, i.e. it knows if it's being poked in two places but not where they are

i don't think that's quite good enough

I see

Though who knows (as I've yet to acquire an Ipod Touch for myself).

Though many people seem to attest that it is possible.

At least that's what they said

I've just managed to play my first few rounds of Ubeat at London Trocadero and I have to say it is amazingly fun.

But just one thing - I've noticed that even if there is a tutorial, the difficulty in this game just has a really large jump between level 1-2 songs and level 3 songs. (hello YMCA six button press)

I'm just wondering whether anybody actually noticed this as well or whether it's just me still getting used to the mechanics of the game.

The jump does seem difficult at first, but it's really easy to get the hang of. By my 3rd play I was clearing the few 6's on the machine here in the US. The first time I played it I lost to a 3 lol.

I believe you tap the song button twice (3 times for the hard mode)...

Not sure, though... been a while since I last played.

Or more like, not many people who go to Troc actually care about uBeat when they're too busy whoring out the Para Para Paradise and DDR Euro Mix -- IN THE GROOVE 2 machine.

Isn't that TOO close if 2 people are to play at the same time? They wouldn't be able to hear the song they're playing over the other person. Isn't that why they try to place music games (if they have 2 or more) as far away as possible so people can hear the song they're playing?

Anyways, doesn't look too different from the jubeat cabinet except the name. Did they have e-Amusement cards (as I can see the slot for them)?

Yeah, they're blocked and the reason why they're close together is that there's no space in the Troc... that and you can network play jubeat together so you can play the same song at the same time.

And speaking of video and pics: YouTube - uBeat - Scatman

This is my friend Josh playing Scatman and in the back you can see my other friend Richard playing another song. This was our collective first time to play uBeat... well, except for Richard, who had a lot of practise in Japan. ;p
