Passed Area 7 TP for the first time today, with meter to spare. It kinda surprised me, I always got demolished by that song before. That's also my second time beating Heartbeat (I seriously hate CoS now). Also, last time I played I ranked up to

I would like it better if it weren't for that bug screwing up the synth line. It's a fun song to play other than that part.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I've gotten a lot more nimble at releasing purple notes, but I still can't pull that part off consistently.

for some reason, even if you think you're doing it right, there's always that tendency your hits will register as a break on that part (that repeat + double normals part on CoS TP). i dunno but it might be related to that Shoreline break bug on unpatched machines.

i haven't tried, but the technique mentioned by odin0414 (repeat bug + normal note bugging that "part") might do the trick...

... or are we talking about a different bug here?

I think perhaps they're referring to the section where you've got a repeat on the bottom lane and chords at the top. Similar breaks happen in Fury TP.

Because the closest thing Shoreline has are the four swipes with quarter note repeats (not nearly as intensive), I don't think it's related...

yeah that's what i meant.

i thought that it is somehow related to the shoreline break bug because similar breaks also happen on the shoreline TP's last part though the chart on that part differs greatly from CoS TP's repeat + chords and i believe the cause are the same.

When a release and a press is done consecutively within 0.25~0.3 seconds, the machine will consider it as if nothing happened.

Don't ask me why.

To avoid this,
1. Release very quickly.
2. Don't release at all.

P.S I'm not quite sure if this is verified information, but i tried this during the short time before the notes appear and that seemed to be the case.

I've learned that in order to get around that bug, I learned to not keep the finger on the screen because your reflexes get better and you don't develop a bad habit of holding your finger down and only worsening yourself with being susceptible to that bug.

Yeah. That's easier said then done, though . At least for faster songs like CoS.

In other news:

• I finished the high-scoring set for Heartbeat today, which also marks the second time I've finished CoS TP. I've hit the point where I need to Cool attack on Remember too, or else I'll get Area 7. I need to get better at cool attacking, though. I get too many breaks trying.
• Got to Son of Sun on Customizer for the first time.
